Notes
- It’s my first team of the new season! The cup fixtures have given us a bit more indication on starting players, some current notes on my draft: – Kane and Guirassy up front is very premium, which hurts the rest of the squad. It’s probably the part I’m least certain on but currently with an unlimited transfer window after two matchdays, I’m willing to chase the upside.
- Olise and Amiri are nailed in the team for me. You get what you pay for from the premium midfielders.
- In defence, Tah and Svensson seem like steals, so will most likely make my final draft.
- Caci is a semi-premium option who opens the season with a match vs a newly promoted team and plays at wing back.
- My goalkeeper is the cheapest starter in the game and should be solid with HDH conceding a lot of shots.
- My only potential changes are to get Mane of Dortmund in for Caci, and get another premium mid for Fujita.
- Star players will likely be the Bayern trio with a Friday fixture, but Guirassy also tempts me instead of Kane and Caci may get the star in defence.

Notes
- I am fairly happy with my team at the moment. But, it is important to remember that the final pressers before the deadline can change things.
- Formation: 4-4-2.
- Goalkeepers: Ramaj (5.0 – HEI) & Backhaus (4.4 – SVW). Ramaj and Backhausare the cheapest GK’s we know will start. So, they are 100% nailed in my team until more clarity is given on whether Peretz (1.1 – HSV) will be the first choice at HSV.
- Defenders: Upamecano* (16.5 – FCB), Svensson (8.7 – BVB), Bernardo (8.3 – TSG), Muheim (7.7 – HSV) & Jaquez (2.3 – VFB). While I think Tah (9.4 – FCB) provides fantastic value, I would like to have a premium defender that I can trust with the star captaincy. When fit, Upamecano was among the very best defender assets consistently last season, so he is in my team. Even though things are looking shaky for Dortmund at the moment, the attacking threat of Svensson and his good fixtures are enough to warrant a spot in my team. Bernardo has arguably been the best duel winner in the Bundesliga for the last few seasons, making him a consistent and reliable pick in defence. With the injury doubts around Diks (6.3 – BMG), I have opted for Muheim. He was among the top duel winners in the 2. Bundesliga last season, is playing as an attacking wingback and taking set pieces. For now, Jaquez holds the spot as the cheapest defender in my team, playing well against Bayern in the Franz Beckenbauer Cup and looking nailed in Stuttgart’s defence.
- Midfielders: Olise* (23.5 – FCB), Doan (13.6 – SCF), Stöger (11.3 – BMG), Majer (7.4 – WOB) & Kaminski (4.7 – KOE). The Olise pick probably needs no further explanation, he is in perma-star territory for me. Doan was one of the most consistent midfielders last season at Freiburg and has impressed in his debut in the DFB Pokal. He scored twice and takes set pieces, securing a spot in my team. Stöger was a proven asset during his time at Bochum and with injuries to Kleindienst and Machino he is nailed to start. He will also be taking a lot of set pieces, including penalties if Diks misses out. In my eyes, Majerwill be one of the most exciting picks in the game this year. While he still is a bit unproven as an asset, he is reasonably priced, will be on almost all set pieces, including penalties, and is central to a Wolfsburg side expected to improve. As cheapest midfielder, I really like Burger (4.8 – TSG). But, the higher upside, better fixtures and set pieces make me lean towards Kaminski.
- Forwards: Guirassy* (19.3 – BVB), Woltemade (13.1 – VFB) & Pejčinović (3.0 – WOB). Guirassy is a lock for me. He has produced good form since the end of last season, has penalties, duels won and the kind first two fixtures, where he is a clear option for star player, means he is in. After watching him in person last Saturday, enjoying my prize from coming second last season, Woltemade has to be in. He has a good fixture in MD1, takes penalties, and wins a lot of duels. Pejčinović will be my cheap forward, having impressed in the DFB Pokal and looking nailed to start with doubts around Amoura.

Notes
- Attack: I predict Kane (22.2 M) to be the best option this week, so I have him as a star.
- My second option would be Guirassy (19.3 M). But, we cannot afford him, so my second forward is currently Woltemade (13.1 M) who seems to be a good option with a good fixture while being a duels machine.
- Pejcinovic (3.0 M) is predicted to start, so is my third forward for now. But, let’s see how his xmins look like before deadline.
- Tabakovic (5.3 M) and Pereira Lage (5.0 M) are nice budget options too, but I can’t afford them currently.
- Midfield: Olise (23.5 M) seems to be one of the most obvious stars ever. Bayern should score some goals at home vs Leipzig and is nailed, on set pieces and second in line for pens. There are plenty of good other options in midfield. Amiri (13.4 M) is on all set pieces with a good fixture. So, he is in my team, along with Majer (7.4 M), the Wolfsburg pen taker. Stoger (11.3 M) is on some set pieces and maybe pens from Gladbach, and Sands (3.2 M) could be good as a budget option with good xmins. There are some great options currently not in my squad like Doan (13.6 M), but currently not sure to start according to liga insider. Honorat (10.0 M) is on some set pieces and Arnold (7.7 M) is also on set pieces.
- Defence: I expect Upamecano (16.5 M) to be one of the best if not the beat star defender this md, so he is in and starred despite his price. He produces duels and build up and plays for the best team in the league. Bernardo (8.3 M) is in for his fantastic duel potential and some build up points. Muheim (7.7 M) is good for duels and chances created, while having two decent fixtures. So, he is one of those players who I want to stay for my md2 team. Hubers (7.5 M) is very good for duels and has two decent fixtures too. He’s another player I don’t have to worry about next md. Gimber (6.2 M) has a decent fixture in md1 and is good for duels. So, with his fairly low price, he is in my team. There are other options like Querfeld (6.4 M), Rothe (7.6 M) or Mainka (7.6 M) who are good for duels and Mane (1.0 M) or Jaquez (2.3 M) who are cheap. Diks (6.3 M) is also a nice option, but let’s wait and see if he is fit.
- Keepers: Ramaj (5.0 M) is the cheapest playing keeper that I know of. He plays for a side that is likely to struggle. This could mean plenty of saves potentially. Peretz (1.1 M) might start and for his price that’s good.

Notes
- New season new action!
- Prices are a bit over the top for key players. That means we can’t get more than four main key players (almost all priced 17+).
- In the cup game Mane started and did well, depending on Dortmund news he could start again.
- With Diks I will wait for news, he may be the main pen taker.
- Ronnow was also subbed off with an injury for Raab.
- The point system makes it clear that, again no 3-4-3 for this season. It will be 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 or sometimes 4-5-1.
- This week, I am going to try 3-5-2 with Mwene/Diks (depending on news).
- In midfield Olise and forward Guirassy are in.
- Good luck everyone for the new season, let’s have a great start!
