Notes

  • So for the Goalkeeper spot I have chosen Keeley from Luton. Luton have started the season with two clean sheets and have looked defensively sound. I like the Wigan fixture. Even the Bradford match could be comfortable for a team with the quality of Luton.
  • In defence my first pick is Piergianni who already has 29 clearances over the two fixtures so far. Stevenage are typically a defensive side and I do like the two fixtures for Stevenage this gameweek. I fancy at least one CS in this gameweek!
  • My next defender is Sanders from MK Dons. Again, MK Dons have had two clean sheets to start the season and have look pretty defensively solid. I like the fixtures against two sides who have scored one between them.
  • My last defender is Oluwo from Salford. I would say that Salford’s fixtures weren’t the easiest to begin with yet Oluwo has managed to pick up 16 points and without one clean sheet yet. He has already grabbed a goal so he has attacking threat. I think the two fixtures this week are nicer from a clean sheet point of view.
  • Onto the midfield and my first pick is Davis Keillor-Dunn. He has two goals so far in two games and has many routes to points so always a pick to consider in a double gameweek. I really like the Peterborough away fixture in this double and I think Bolton aren’t the best travelling side. So, I expect DKD to have chances to get points in both matches.
  • My second midfielder is Jaze Kabia who is playing as a forward for Grimsby and he is on pens too. Grimsby have impressed so far scoring three goals in both of their games. The fixtures are pretty nice too from an attacking point of view so he seems like a solid pick again this week.
  • Now finally onto my forward. I have gone for Jamie Reid from Stevenage. I do like the Stevenage fixtures this week as I have said previously. He has three goals in his two games so far so he is definitely taking his chances.
  • In terms of teams, I have picked Huddersfield who have been in brilliant form so far scoring five and not conceding a goal. I think their fixtures are pretty nice this week too with promoted Doncaster at home after a trip to a struggling Blackpool.
  • My second team is MK Dons who have two teams who are yet to get a point on the board. I think this makes it a great pick this week especially given the quality of the MK Dons side too.

Note

  • It’s been a solid start to the season, and we now approach the first double game week, which always brings high variance and exciting opportunities.
  • As always, my team is built around a balance of proven performers and under-the-radar value picks.
  • In goal, I’m backing Cardiff’s Trott. With promotion ambitions, these are the kind of matches they must win, and Trott offers both stability and potential upside.
  • Defensively, I rely on the ever-reliable fantasy legend Mickey Demetriou and Stevenage’s leader Piergianni. The third slot will likely go to one of the MK Dons defenders, given their impressive start with two clean sheets.
  • In midfield, I’m currently going with Kabia, a nailed-on striker, playing out of position, and also on penalties. Alongside him is Charlie Webster, the standout from the opening round. He’s operating in a more advanced role this season, and offers strong fantasy potential across multiple categories.
  • Up front, my loan pick is Swindon’s Harry Smith, a high ceiling player with strong upside if he finds form.
  • In terms of team focus, Cardiff and Salford are currently my preferred options. However, I’m keeping an eye on Salford’s situation, especially following the injury to their key player Oluwo in the FA Cup.

Notes

  • GK – Owen Goodman (HUD) – It’s hard to ignore Goodman as the man to have between the sticks. After a superb promotion win with Wimbledon last season, Goodman has continued his fine form for new club Huddersfield by keeping clean sheets to Leyton Orient and Reading so far. I think get can keep up his shutouts against Blackpool and Doncaster.
  • DEFs – Chey Dunkley (CHF) and Luke Garbutt (SAL) – I’m still looking for attacking returns from my defenders. But, after a whopping 17 clearances (+4) in GW2 along with two tackles (+1) and a clean sheet (+5), its impossible to look beyond Dunkley this week. Garbutt re-joins my team after being dropped for GW2 as the man on set pieces.
  • MIDs – Kelly N’Mai (SAL), Ben Perry (COL) and Davis Keillor-Dunn (BAR) – This DGW offers up a great opportunity to get a combination of different routes to points. N’Mai scored away to Notts County in GW2 and is being chronically overlooked for games against Accrington and Newport, who are both not great defensively. Perry has been an interception demon so far, totalling seven interceptions across the first two Gameweeks.
  • DKD is, well, DKD – and whilst Bolton will be a tough game he could score there. I can definitely see a goal coming for him against Peterborough.
  • FWD – Alfie May (HUD) – I’ve been waiting for the right moment to bring May into the team after his blinding season for champions Birmingham last season. The Huddersfield loanee has the second highest amount of shots on target so far with four – worth four points alone – has the joint highest amount of key passes of all forwards with three, and scored in his first game. Against a Blackpool team that is struggling, and newly promoted Doncaster, I can see May bagging a couple of goals for the DGW.
  • Team Picks: MK Dons are up against two of my favourites for relegation back-to-back in Cheltenham and Crawley. Even without Collins up front, they should see those games through comfortably.
  • I’m completing my team selection by going for the Huddersfield triple up. I back them to beat Blackpool and scrape a result against Doncaster.

Notes

  • I’ve chosen Trott as my goalkeeper, with Cardiff facing a severely weakened Rotherham side at home. This is followed by a Wimbledon team on the road who have posed limited attacking threat. I’ve opted to cover Cardiff’s clean sheet potential through their goalkeeper, as their defenders often offer limited defensive contributions.
  • In defence, I’ve gone for Piergianni of Stevenage. He has excellent defensive numbers and has one of the best set of fixtures this week. This gives him some of the highest clean sheet odds.
  • Joining him is Dunkley, who comes up against two low scoring sides. With strong defensive stats and a notable goal threat, he’s a fantastic option.
  • Completing the backline is Jack Sanders of MK Dons, who takes the captaincy armband. MK Dons have kept six consecutive league clean sheets, and Sanders’ outstanding defensive contributions make him a valuable asset.
  • In midfield, Davis Keillor-Dunn is a standout pick. He’s in superb form, scoring in consecutive matches this campaign, and now faces Bolton at home before travelling to a weakened Peterborough side. As Barnsley’s talisman, another haul is on the cards.
  • He’s joined by Kabia of Grimsby Town, who has been in excellent scoring form. Playing as a number nine but classified as a midfielder, Kabia’s out of position role makes him an even more appealing option this week.
  • Up front, Alfie May leads the line. Already on the scoresheet this season, he now has two favourable matches ahead and will be eager to add to his tally.
  • For my team selections, I’m backing MK Dons and Huddersfield this week. MK Dons are the standout choice given their superb form and excellent fixtures, while Huddersfield complement my line-up, pairing with my striker pick to maximise the potential upside.

Notes

  • Josh Keeley looks a solid option this week and Luton look comfortable, so he’s in between the sticks.
  • I’m going with three at the back with Jack Sanders who has great fixtures, Carl Piergianni for his bonuses and lastly Chey Dunkley who I think will continue his great form with bonus and bank either one if not both clean sheets.
  • Rubin Colwill has looked dangerous and has been getting in good positions so I’m going with him this week.
  • Alongside him is Jaze Kabia who has two in two, playing OOP and on pens too.
  • Jamie Reid has been on fire lately with three goals in his opening two games and I back him to do well in his double.
  • Jack Sanders has the armand this week.
  • MK Dons will be my first club pick as I feel their fixtures are the best and could get two wins.
  • Salford I feel will do well this week as they had a good win last time out, and it looks like they have found their form.
