Club World Cup Matchday 7 Best Captain

If you aren’t sure which player to captain this week, then you are in the right place! We take a look at the Club World Cup Matchday 7 Fantasy best captain, whilst also highlighting differential alternatives.

Captaincy is absolutely crucial for the success of most fantasy managers. So, making sure we get it right could be hugely influential on final rank and mini-league position.

Club World Cup Matchday 7 Best Captain

It’s the final round of the Club World Cup, which means fantasy managers have just one opportunity to get captaincy right.

Whilst Chelsea have shown huge progress in terms of growth over the last season: winning the Europa Conference League and finishing in the top four of the Premier League, their opposition have been the finished article.

As well as winning Ligue 1, PSG claimed the Champions League trophy during their 24/25 campaign. That form seems to have continued into the current competition. Racking up a huge 16 goals scored (2.7 per match on average), along with five clean sheets from a possible six, PSG head into the final as clear favourites.

Because of the above, focusing on their assets for captaincy appears to be the wise move. Based on their relentless scoring and formidable backline, a route into both could be what fantasy managers need this week, and the reliable Achraf Hakimi (€6.5m) offers exactly that.

No player has produced more fantasy points than Hakimi’ 57. Mots of his points come from an impressive five clean sheets and four attacking returns. The Moroccan has also scooped up double-digit points in every one of his previous four matches.

Based on his attacking form, and clean sheet potential, Achraf Hakimi is the Club World Cup Matchday 7 Best Captain option.

One player who has the potential to match or even better his teammate is midfielder Ousmane Dembele (€10m). PSG were without their talismanic Frenchman during the early stages of the competition, but after featuring and scoring in Matchday 5 against Bayern, and mustering up a goal and an assist during his start against Real Madrid, Dembele appears to be back to his best, both in terms of fitness and output.

Outside of Hakimi and Dembele, it gets a little tougher to find a convincing captaincy option. But, for those chasing rank, and hoping to bag a differential captaincy haul, then there are some candidates. One of them is PSG midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€9.2m). Although blanking in his previous three matches, the Georgian was fantastic during the Group Stage – hitting a goal and two assists.

Fantasy managers could even choose to look to Chelsea this week. The Blues are less convincing than PSG, but they have still impressed – racking up 14 goals with an average of 2.3 scored per fixture. Chelsea have more than proven themselves from an attacking perspective so backing penalty taker and talisman Cole Palmer (€9.6m) could be an outside shout.
