Club World Cup Fantasy Matchday 7 Top Picks

The final round is here. Matchday 7 marks the end of Club World Cup Fantasy, and it’s your last shot to make a big move. In this article, we run through the Club World Cup Fantasy Matchday 7 top picks, focusing on key players from the final fixtures who could deliver in crunch time.
Goalkeepers

It all comes down to this final match, Chelsea v PSG. Chelsea may go into the match against PSG after securing a clean sheet, but the European champions have managed clean sheets in five of their six matches so far.
Taking that into account, PSG’ Gianluigi Donnarumma (€5.7m) is the standout pick. The Italian has been crucial for his sides success over recent months due to his shot-stopping heroics, and that could well continue In Matchday 7.
The only other goalkeeper playing this week is of course Chelsea’ Robert Sanchez (€5.3m). Those looking to approach the round differently could opt for the Spaniard.
Defenders

Quickly becoming a fantasy football great, PSG’ Achraf Hakimi (€6.5m) heads into the final after securing double-digit point returns in every one of his previous four matches. In each of those, the Moroccan bagged an attacking return – signalling a relentless run of offensive form.
PSG will very likely be a shoo-in for most Club World Cup Fantasy managers in terms of investment this week. One other player who has attacking threat is opposite full-back Nuno Mendes (€6.2m). Mendes may not be as offensively prolific as his teammate, but he netted four times during his sides recent Champions League winning campaign.
Whilst PSG have Marquinhos who is also a great option, fellow centre-back Beraldo (€4.3m) could be a better pick. As well as coming in cheaper than the Brazilian, he also has just 1.6% ownership, which means he is eligible for scouting bonus.
For those interested in backing under-dogs Chelsea, they have two standout options at the back. The most reliable and attacking is arguably Spaniard Marc Cucurella (€5.8m).
If in the starting line-up though, fellow full-back Reece James (€5.8m) should be a consideration. Whilst James has proven attacking threat, the management of his minutes could lead to an early substitution – raising his odds of keeping a clean sheet.

Midfielders

After scoring six goals across their quarter and semi-final clashes against Bayern and Real Madrid, it’s clear that investing into the PSG attack this week against Chelsea will be essential. Of their midfielders it’s Ousmane Dembele (€10m) who stands out – having scored twice and assisted once in his previous two matches.
Although frustrating recently, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€9.2m) is another player CWC Fantasy managers have to consider. The Georgian was crucial for the PSG attack whilst Dembele was injured, and has enough quality to break down any type of opposition defence.
Whilst PSG are favourites to win the game, you can’t underestimate the Chelsea attackers either. The Blues have racked up 14 goals in their six matches thus far, and helping them achieve that was penalty taker Cole Palmer (€9.6m). Palmer managed two assists and one goal in his previous three games, so heads into the game in good form.
The Chelsea appeal doesn’t stop with Palmer. Fellow midfielder Pedro Neto (€6.5m) is another player who could convince this week. Neto appears to have found some sort of rhythm in the Chelsea attack recently – scoring three goals in the competition to help his side reach their current position.
There are plenty of great midfielder options this week, including Chelsea’ Enzo Fernandez (€6.2m), PSG penalty taker Vitinha (€6.1m) and teammate Desire Doue (€8.2m).
Forwards

PSG rarely start with a forward, so we look to Chelsea to fill that role. There were major question marks over the signing of Joao Pedro (€6.5m) from fans and football pundits. But, a lot of those questions were immediately answered by the Brazilian after he won the game for Chelsea during the semi-finals. Joao Pedro racked up a huge 13 points after scoring his brace, so he should be a shoo-in for most up top.
It wouldn’t be a complete curve ball to see Nicolas Jackson (€7.4m) either. Some could take a gamble on the inconsitent striker even if he fails to start the match. Jackson completed 30 minutes of gametime against Fluminense recently, but it wasn’t enough time to make a major impact.
