As part of our summer series preparing Fantasy EFL managers for the new campaign, we’re breaking down the best picks in each position ahead of the 2025/26 season. In this article, we focus on the top 5 goalkeepers to pick in Fantasy EFL 2025/26, looking at shot-stopping potential, clean sheet chances, and overall value.
Whether you’re building an early draft or planning transfers, these are the keepers to keep on your radar. To help us we brought in Fantasy EFL expert @DanDave1989.
Sam Tickle

Last season Wigan kept an impressive 18 clean sheets and they were often involved in low scoring games. Tickle made 129 saves over the 46 games and Wigan were third best for goals conceded in league 1 with just 42 goals conceded. He managed to accumulate 226 points last season and Wigan have some nice early home fixtures with Northampton and Peterborough in GW’s 1 and 3.
Matt Macey

Macey managed to keep a huge 21 clean sheets for Colchester and only conceded 47 goals in the 46 games last season. In particular at home they only conceded 15 goals in the 23 matches. I expect Colchester to be challenging the top 10 again, so I think he’ll hit a similar points return this season. You may want to be looking at Macey as an early pick with fixtures against Tranmere and Oldham to start the season off.
Alex Palmer
Ipswich may have struggled in the Premier League last season but considering their squad this season in the Championship, I expect them to be contenders for the title. They still have the likes of Dara O’Shea, Ben Johnson and Jacob Greaves in their defence so I think this season they will be one of the better defences in the league. Palmer therefore will be one of the top GK point scorers for me this season.

Owen Goodman

Goodman helped Wimbledon to keep 24 clean sheets in League 2 last season with a promotion winning side and was named in the L2 team of the season. He managed to rack up 240 points in the game last season which was the highest in League 2.
He has now got a new loan move from Crystal Palace to Huddersfield. Huddersfield managed to keep 14 clean sheets last season and with the defensive signings they have made I can only see this figure rising as they will be looking to challenge for promotion this campaign.
Corey Addai

This may be a bit of a differential pick here. Stockport only conceded 42 goals last time out and the Stockport goalkeepers combined to produce 17 clean sheets. In addition, they had the second best xGA in League 1 in the 2025/26 season.
All this points to a strong defence and this season I see them making another promotion push so expect the numbers to be similar. In terms of Fantasy EFL the Stockport goalkeepers combined to get 200 points for the campaign. So the points return is there and currently Corey Addai will be the number one so a decent pick for your fantasy teams this season.
