Check out all of the Top Picks in each position for Matchday 2!
- Unless something catastrophic happens my plan remains to use the Wildcard chip in Matchday 3. This is mainly to navigate the inevitable rotation when some teams have six points.
- I’m still fine with my goalkeeping duo. My defence though is less convincing. Whilst Batlle, Bjorn and Bronze are fine this week, Gwinn appears to have picked up a bad injury. Casparij also faces England so I’m not hugely keen on her chances.
- My midfield is mostly fine. I couldn’t be happier with my Spain duo and Buhl. Although, Reiten and Guigliano were far from impressive in the first round. There are a few midfielders I’m eyeing up this week which I’ll cover shortly.
- Up front, Blackstenius was very active in Matchday 1, so I’m happy to give her another shot with Poland next. That goes for Germany’ Schuller too, but she goes into her next match after scoring in the opening round.
- My only concern is Miedema who faces England. This isn’t a game I think she can do well in, but this was a known to me prior to building my Matchday 1 team.
- As for my transfer plan, I have to sell Gwinn due to injury. She’ll likely move to France full-back Selma Bacha for the match against Wales.
- I want to make attacking transfers this week, so I may just stick with Casparij for the England game and hope for a 0-0. With my two remaining transfers I think I’ll sell Miedema for France’ Sandy Baltimore. My final transfer will probably go on selling Giugliano or Reiten for either Sweden’ Filippa Angeldahl or Grace Geyoro.
- Good luck this week everyone!
