Club World Cup Fantasy Matchday 1 Differentials

Want to make an immediate claim to pole position? Then our Club World Cup Fantasy Matchday 1 differentials could be exactly what you need early on.
Differentials are players with under 5% ownership. If successful, differentials can help you boost up the ranks, with the help of scouting bonus (which is an additional two points).
Serge Gnabry – 2% Selected

Bayern kick off the campaign with a match against Amateur side Auckland City, which could mean we see plenty of goals from the Bavarians, a side who regularly sustained 2-3 goals scored per game across all competitions last season.
With Leroy Sane joining Galatasaray, it opens up the door for fellow in-game midfielder Serge Gnabry (€8m). The German ended his recent campaign on a high – scoring two goals and registering three assists in his final seven matches. Bayern look set for goals so don’t be surprised if Gnabry is among them.
Benjamin Pavard – 3% Selected

The fact defenders can’t earn additional points for underlying actions makes them less appealing than other positions. This means that scouting bonus is even more important when it comes to selecting defenders.
Luckily, arguably the best defence in Europe, Inter, offer several different routes into the backline. One of them is centre-back Benjamin Pavard (€4.8m) who is the cheapest and most reliable way in. As well as clean sheet potential and scouting bonus, the Frenchman also scored in the latter stages of his recent Champions League campaign.
Noni Madueke – 3% Ownership

Chelsea had a fairly decent campaign – winning the European Conference League and cementing fourth in the Premier League. The Blues also ranked as one of the best attacks domestically, ranking among the top four for multiple underlying statistics.
Because of the above, and their opening fixture against a very inconsistent LAFC, buying into their attack could be hugely rewarding. Whilst many flock to the pricey Cole Palmer, others could look to winger Noni Madueke (€6.5m) who comes in around €3m cheaper. The Englishman impressed last season and that helped him play back-to-back matches for England in the most recent international break.
Daniel Svensson – 4.7% Selected

Arguably playing their toughest opposition in the Group during Matchday 1 is Dortmund. The German giants meet with Fluminense who have regularly disappointed domestically – sitting 13th at the end of 2024 campaign and fifth in the current season.
Dortmund appear to be in great form too – with six consecutive wins on the bounce. They also kept two clean sheets in their previous three matches, which gives wing-back Daniel Svensson (€5.3m) appeal. He ended the most recent season with an impressive three goal and one assist in his final five league matches.
