Club World Cup Fantasy 2025: ES Tunis Best Picks, Predicted Line-up and Team Overview

Club World Fantasy 2025 is here! Continuing with our team previews, we take a look at the ES Tunis best picks, predicted line-up and team overview.
Knowing how a team could line-up and their best assets could be absolutely key for success in Club World Cup Fantasy, so let’s dive in!
Team Overview

Espérance de Tunis qualified for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup by ranking among the top African clubs based on their performances in continental competitions from 2021 to 2024.
CAF (Africa’s football confederation) had four spots in the tournament, and two of those were awarded to clubs with the highest rankings across that period. Thanks to their strong and consistent showings in the CAF Champions League, Espérance earned one of those places, alongside Mamelodi Sundowns.
This will be Espérance’s fourth time playing in the Club World Cup. They’ve had a dominant run in African football, winning the CAF Champions League four times and recently completing a domestic treble – winning the Tunisian league, cup, and super cup.
On their form, Espérance have just come off the back of securing the Ligue 1 Tunisian title. To achieve this they won 19, drew nine and lost just two of their 30 matches. In terms of basic stats from that campaign, they scored 57 goals, conceded 22 and kept 15 clean sheets.
Group and Fixtures
The Tunisian champions face CR Flamengo (BRA), Chelsea FC (ENG) and LAFC (USA) in Group D.

This is their upcoming schedule:
- Matchday 1 – Flamengo
- Matchday 2 – LAFC
- Matchday 3 – Chelsea
Espérance head into their first match as huge underdogs, so they are expected to lose this game comfortably.
Their best chance of picking up points comes in Matchday 2 against LAFC. However, the North American side will be tough opposition and are still favourites to win the game.
Matchday 3 sees them take on Chelsea, which looks to be their toughest opposition. Chelsea are firm favourites in the tie and should win comfortably.

Top Picks
For CWC Fantasy managers who want to back the Espérance, then they have solid options. Whilst goalkeeper is slightly more pricey, most of the backline comes in at just €4m, which could help enable funds elsewhere.
Centre-back Hamza Jelassi (€4m) is one of their most reliable picks in defence. He has also scored twice in his previous two matches – showing he has some attacking threat.
Right-back Raed Bouchniba (€4m) also comes in nice a cheap. He has a little more attacking threat than his teammate after scoring three goals and creating three assists in his latest league campaign.

Youcef Belaïli (€5.6m) could be a name that rings a bell for some CWC Fantasy managers. As well as impressing for country in recent African Cup of Nations, Belaïli also takes penalties and bagged nine goals and three assists in the season gone.
For even cheaper Chiheb Jebali (€4m) could become a budget gem. Jebali has also impressed this season, and he also takes a share of both corners and free-kicks, which gives him more appeal.
In-game forward Yan Sasse (€4.4m) is an alternative. Sasse bagged 10 goals and two assists in his 24/25 league campaign. This made him integral to his sides success.
