Lovro Budisin is the winner of FPL 2024/25

Our congratulations go to Lovro Budisin, crowned the worldwide winner of FPL for 2024/25.
Following in the footsteps of Jonas Sand Labakk, Ali Jahangirov, Jamie Pigott, Michael Coone and more, it’s the Croat’s fifth season of playing the game, with the other four final ranks giving hope to all other Fantasy managers ahead of 2025/26.

THIS SEASON
In pole position since Gameweek 31, Lovro entered Gameweek 38 with a 40-point lead.
“Even when I entered the top 10, I still didn’t believe I was truly in the race. It wasn’t until I managed to jump into the top two that I started to think there might be a real chance.” – Lovro Budisin, speaking to the Premier League
This gave him the breathing space to take a four-point hit on buying Bukayo Saka and Evanilson, both of whom blanked. It meant he could only add a further 58 to his total, but the Jarrod Bowen haul and successful captaincy of Mohamed Salah allowed Lovro to finish 23 points ahead of Jack Brennan.

Credit belongs to Jack, too. He’s camped inside the top 70 since Gameweek 13 and made a great final transfer of Antoine Semenyo. Third-placed Blythe Oakman also purchased the 16-point Bournemouth midfielder, combining it with Triple Captain Bowen.
“I made a few really good decisions, like holding on to Foden, who brought in 42 points between Gameweeks 20 and 22. I also made some well-judged 50/50 calls, like picking Kiwior in Gameweek 33, even though Saliba was more expensive and considered the better option by most. But I trusted my gut.” – Lovro Budisin
LOVRO’S HISTORY
As mentioned, 2024/25 FPL winner Lovro’s previous finishes were unimpressive. Finding his feet in FPL, he’d never concluded a campaign within the top 500k. In fact, he ended 2021/22 around the 7.77 million mark!

It’s a very timely reminder that history belongs in the past. Every FPL manager starts the season on zero points, armed with the same £100m budget.
In 2025/26, this could be you.
