Team Reveal for FPL Gameweek 37

This week feels like a particularly tough one for Fantasy managers to navigate. So, if you’re debating chips, player transfers and captaincy, one of our experts Marc Jobling is here to help by providing his own team reveal for FPL Gameweek 37.

Let’s get straight into it, then!

Team Reveal

Gameweek 36 brought 52 points, where Daniel Munoz (£5.2m) and Bart Verbruggen (£4.6m) were successes, but being without Chris Wood (£7.2m), Eberechi Eze (£6.9m) and Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) ensured it was a red arrow, down to 226k.

What probably didn’t help was benching the combined 13 points of Tino Livramento (£4.6m) and Morgan Rogers (£5.7m). It continued this season’s disappointing trend of bad luck and poor benching.

In fact, my brother – someone I’ve been comfortably ahead of all along – has quickly closed down a 62-point gap after Gameweek 34 to a frigheningly low 13. Pretty sure he’ll overtake me, too.

This time, I’ve made a very rare set of early transfers. Moving Ismaila Sarr (£5.6m) and Ibrahima Konate (£5.3m) to Bowen and Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.4m) couldn’t take any more price changes.

I might even captain Bowen, in a week where there’s no obvious contender. He has four goals and two assists in his last half-dozen matches, only blanking six times in 18 league outings.

Perhaps Bryan Mbeumo (£8.3m) is the answer. Someone who constantly produces, is guaranteed minutes, takes penalties and has a couple of nice closing fixtures.

Meanwhile, another tough decision needs to be made for the bench. All eight attackers have appeal and there’s no way I’m sidelining Rogers versus this Tottenham side – there’s already FOMO over not having Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) for it.

With his minutes already being managed, I think there’s a solid chance that Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.6m) doesn’t start. It’s three days after Crystal Palace’s FA Cup final. But Alexander Isak (£9.5m) travels to Arsenal looking unfit, plus below-par Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) is literally ‘on the beach’ – in Dubai, with the Liverpool squad.

Best of luck, everyone!
