Best Picks for the Fantasy EFL Play-Off First Legs

The regular season has come to an end, but a new separate game based on the play-offs is here! For those unsure on who to pick, then you’re in the right place. Our expert @FPLEdgeworth reveals best picks for the Fantasy EFL play-off first legs right here!

With scores reset and new prizes in play, Fantasy EFL managers have got another chance at success. Without any more fluff, let’s dive straight into it.

Goalkeepers

Ryan Boot – Chesterfield

Best Picks for the Fantasy EFL Play-Off First Legs

First among the top goalkeeper picks is Ryan Boot from Chesterfield. Boot has kept three clean sheets in his last five games, including one on the final day. Chesterfield are set to play Walsall at home, a team that has scored just once in their last three matches. Given Walsall’s struggles and Chesterfield’s solid defence, Boot is a strong pick.

Ben Wilson – Coventry City

Ben Wilson of Coventry City is another great choice. Despite making his first appearance in months, he returned with a clean sheet and earned 10 points. Coventry faces Sunderland, a team without a goal in their last three games and winless in their last six. Wilson’s chances of another clean sheet at home are high.

Defenders

Ashley Palmer – Chesterfield

Best Picks for the Fantasy EFL Play-Off First Legs

From Chesterfield again, we have Ashley Palmer, who has been in excellent form with 52 points in his last five games, including three double-digit hauls. With a home game against Walsall, who have scored only once in their last three matches, Palmer is well-positioned for another strong performance.

Liam Kitching – Coventry City

Coventry’s Liam Kitching has also been reliable, earning 33 points in his last five games, averaging over six points per match. With a home match against Sunderland, who have struggled to score and win, Kitching is a solid pick for potential clean sheet points.

Midfielders

Greg Docherty – Charlton Athletic

In midfield, Greg Docherty of Charlton Athletic has shown great form, scoring 19 points in his last three games through five interceptions and one assist. As Charlton head into the playoffs against Wycombe, Docherty’s defensive contributions and potential for a goal or assist make him a strong option.

Oliver Norwood – Stockport County

Best Picks for the Fantasy EFL Play-Off First Legs

Another midfield pick is Oliver Norwood of Stockport County. Norwood has scored 41 points in his last five games, showcasing his ability to earn points in various ways. Against Leyton Orient, where Stockport should be favorites, Norwood is likely to maintain his high-scoring form.

Forwards

Matt Godden – Charlton Athletic

In attack, Matt Godden of Charlton Athletic has been in excellent form, netting four goals and providing one assist in his last four games. Charlton will face Wycombe, a team they defeated 4-0 recently, where Godden also scored. He is a strong candidate for another big return.

Charlie Kelman – Leyton Orient

Charlie Kelman of Leyton Orient is another forward to consider. As League One’s top scorer with 21 goals and nine assists, he finished the season strong with four goals and two assists in his last five matches. Despite being underdogs against Stockport, Kelman’s goal-scoring ability makes him a standout choice.

Teams to Target

Chesterfield

Chesterfield is a top team to target, entering the League Two playoffs unbeaten in their last six games. They face Walsall, who have just one win in their last 14 matches. Playing at home, Chesterfield is well-positioned for a comfortable victory.

Coventry City

Coventry City is another team to back, despite winning only two of their last four matches. They are up against a struggling Sunderland side that hasn’t won in six games and has failed to score in their last three. At home, Coventry has a strong chance of winning.
