In goal we could opt for Fulham’ Bernd Leno (£5m). The German faces Southampton next, who are the worst attack in the league statistically. The Saints are down and out, relegated to the Championship so motivation to score could be extremely low.
Leno is backed up by West Ham’ cheaply priced Alphonse Areola (£4.2m) who likely won’t feature at all.
FPL managers have lots of defenders to choose from, but one of the best could be Fulham’ Ryan Sessegnon (£4.1m) who continues to play in the front three. It’s an easy switch to teammate Antonee Robinson (£4.8m) if Sessegnon is out with injury.
Two more players with clean sheet and attacking potential this week are Wolves’ Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.9m) and Newcastle’ Kieran Trippier (£5.6m). Both also face-off against promoted opposition. They are joined by Chelsea’ Marc Cucurella (£5.4m) and Leicester’ Luke Thomas (£3.9m) who will likely be irrelevant sat on the bench.

In midfield is a couple of obvious picks like Liverpool’ Mohamed Salah (£13.8m) and Chelsea’ Cole Palmer (£10.6m). Talking of penalty taking talisman, we could also look to the recently returned Justin Kluivert (£6m). The Bournemouth man faces of with a poor Manchester United side next up, so could have huge potential.
Avoiding Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) could spell trouble. He may clash against one of the best defences in the league next, but he does so coming off the back of securing a mammoth 18-point haul in his previous match.
Newcastle continue to chase Champions League qualification, and an expected win at home against a woeful Ipswich defence could help them. Of their attackers, one of the standouts is Harvey Barnes (£5.9m). Barnes has produced a huge seven attacking returns in his previous five league matches.
Leicester have shipped at least two goals in eight of their last 10 matches. To target this we could look to the Wolves frontline. From the options available Matheus Cunha (£6.8m) stands out. As well as taking penalties, Cunha has netted in each of his previous two games.
Another penalty taker facing a promoted side this week is of course Alexander Isak (£9.5m). Arguably a shoo-in this week the Newcastle striker has been one of the most consistent assets in FPL this campaign.
The attackers are backed up by Nottingham Forest’ Chris Wood (£6.9m). Some may decide they want to start him over another attacker. This is largely due to his fantastic form this season.
