Serie A Fantasy Round 28 Top Picks

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 28 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.
It isn’t long before the new Round commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. It could also help with other parts of the game including captaincy, chip strategies and long-term transfer plans.
Goalkeepers – Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (€7.2m – 27.2%)

It was supposed to be AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, but it appears the French goalkeeper has been suspended without receiving any cards after arguing with the referee after the match. Milinkovic-Savic is a reliable pick anyway, best performer in the game as usual, and against Parma next Round.
Mile Svilar (€4.8m – 32.3%)

Roma’s backline continues to be consistent. Their match against Empoli is sandwiched between two Europa League ties, which makes me think there will be some rotation for outfield players. Svilar is at no risk, making him their safest option for this week.
Defenders – Denzel Dumfries (€6.2m – 10.6%)

Inter’s wing-back crisis will be welcome by managers who still have Dumfries in their team. With a very short window of time between two UCL legs, rotation is always looming. However, without alternatives on the flanks, I can see Dumfries playing as many minutes as possible, even against bottom of the table Monza.
Sam Beukema (€5.0m – 14.4%)

I can’t see the Bologna CB being rotated two weeks in a row, especially with no midweek matches until the start of April. Verona have the worst attack in the year 2025, and I can’t see them getting past Bologna in a usually low scoring midday kick-off.
Midfielders – Riccardo Orsolini (€8.8m – 22.9%)

Back from injury and now in full form. He scored a brace last week against Cagliari, and he will look to repeat that when playing against Verona (by far the worst defence in the League).
Assane Diao (€4.8m – 0.8%)

Como have finally reached their fixture swing. After having played top 10 teams since the start of 2025, they now have much more affordable Rounds ahead (apart from Milan in Round 29). If you don’t already own Nico Paz, then Assane Diao feels like a great differential option, since he scored five times since joining the club in January.
Forwards – Lautaro Martinez (€12.6m – 66.4%)

Huge question marks cloud Inter’s attack. But, I couldn’t avoid mentioning at least Lautaro against a soon to be relegated Monza. Inzaghi’s rotation is not a matter of if, it will happen. But, it remains to be seen which players will have their minutes lowered. Unless you read otherwise, I would start my Inter forwards.
Romelu Lukaku (€10.6m – 23.9%)

Most good forwards do not have the best offensive fixtures going into Round 28. Both teams do not have the best track record recently. But, Napoli need a win to keep their Scudetto race alive, while Fiorentina will have to manage their resources as they will also have two midweek UECL matches to prepare.
