Serie A Fantasy Round 27 Top Picks

Last modified date

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 27 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.

It isn’t long before the new Round commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. It could also help with other parts of the game including captaincy, chip strategies and long-term transfer plans.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (€7.0m – 26.4%)

Serie A Fantasy Round 27 Top Picks

The leading top scoring fantasy goalkeeper is not as owned as one would expect. Torino have three very affordable fixtures next (starting with bottom of the table Monza), and those who haven’t sold Sommer yet (likely back after the international break), might have a very easy swap here.

David De Gea (€4.8m – 39.6%)

Fiorentina are not in great form, but I still trust their defence to perform against a Lecce side who haven’t scored in their last 270 minutes of gametime.

Defenders – Federico Gatti (€5.6m – 22.9%)

Serie A Fantasy Round 27 Top Picks

Juventus come from two consecutive Serie A clean sheets, one of which against top of the table Inter. For this reason their next home match against Verona feels like a very safe fixture to capitalize on. Gatti is as nailed as it gets, since Juve at the moment have only him and Kelly fit to play at CB.

Angelino (€5.2m – 27.9%)

The Spanish LWB is in great form, scoring twice in his last four Serie A bouts. He has been rotated only once lately, and despite that he has risen among the best defenders in the game, only behind the Napoli CBs. Como have been good as of late but Roma also come from three consecutive clean sheets.

Midfielders – Ademola Lookman (€9.8m – 71.3%)

The Nigerian proved how essential he is for Atalanta last weekend, with a massive haul against Empoli. A home match against Venezia seems ideal for him to repeat himself this Saturday. The issues with coach Gasperini seem to have been put aside for now, so Lookman shouldn’t really be considered at risk of rotation.

Morten Frendrup (€5.4m – 21.8%)

Serie A Fantasy Round 27 Top Picks

The ball recovery monster is as consistent as he’s ever been, slowly climbing the charts and now ranking as the fourth top scoring midfielder. He could be an interesting option to fill our teams in Rounds like this, where top teams face each other (Napoli-Inter, Milan-Lazio). He’s often providing at least 5-6 points even against better teams.

Forwards – Mateo Retegui (€7.2m – 83.4%)

After this Round, Atalanta’s fixtures get suddenly worse. This is probably the last match until the end of April in which double Atalanta attack feels like a must. Retegui loves a lower table side, as 17 out of his 21 League goals have come against teams placed below the 10th position.

Andrea Pinamonti (€7.2m – 6.9%)

Serie A Fantasy Round 27 Top Picks

There aren’t a lot of standout forwards this week, with Lautaro and Lukaku facing each other. Pinamonti is as good as it will get. He faces Empoli who will still have many absentees at CB, trying to keep up his good form (two goals in the last three, blanking only against Inter).
