Best Gameweeks to use FPL chips

Recent weeks have seen chip strategies get underway and this will intensify once more about Blank Gameweek 34 and its surrounding doubles are revealed.
In Fantasy Premier League (FPL), each chip has an ideal scenario for supreme usage. A Gameweek that maximises its points potential.
Let’s take a look at when the best times to use these FPL chips are.
TRIPLE CAPTAIN

Starting with the straightforward Triple Captain, which multiplies your chosen player’s points by three rather than two. Logic says to use this in a Double Gameweek because it gives him twice as much time to deliver.
Imagine Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) having 180 minutes to score even more points for his goals and assists. Not that Liverpool are expected to have any more doubles.
Bench Boost should be prioritised in a big double – like Gameweek 33 is expected to be – but we already know of a Double Gameweek 32 for Newcastle and Crystal Palace, allowing Alexander Isak (£9.5m) to receive this special armband. There could be another small one in Gameweek 36, too.
BENCH BOOST

Speaking of which, the Bench Boost’s potential is maximised in a double so that a bigger-than-usual lineup plays even more often. Instead of 11 players having 11 matches, it could be 15 players playing in a huge 30 of them.
Double Gameweek 33 should be the only remaining ‘big’ one, where many teams feature twice.
FREE HIT

Meanwhile, this sole-Gameweek chip can go down a couple of routes. It either goes all-in on 11 doublers, some of whom won’t have week-to-week appeal but are worth a glorious punt here.
Or it can give the advantage of 11 players in Blank Gameweeks 29 or 34, where the average FPL squad will have fewer than normal. In theory, these occasions should virtually guarantee a green arrow because all notable participants can be covered while still leaving space for a few exciting differentials.
WILDCARD

There’s more flexibility with Wildcards, as it goes hand-in-hand with when these other chips will be used. It can be activated whenever there’s a big fixture swing coming up, or right before your Bench Boost activation in order to collect 15 men who are both fit and currently in favour.
Furthermore, some Wildcards will come right after Blank Gameweeks 29 or 34. It allows managers to immediately re-buy their favourite names – ones that were briefly ditched because their team didn’t play.
Gameweeks 30, 31 and 32 will be popular times to use these FPL chips. Some may try Gameweek 35 but it doesn’t leave much time for FPL’s most powerful chip to make an impact.
ASSISTANT MANAGER

Finally, a controversial chip that over 2.8 million managers have activated in the last four Gameweeks. The Assistant Manager uses part of your budget to recruit a team’s boss for three successive Gameweeks. Points are then gained based on results, goals and clean sheets.
Remember that chips can only be used one at a time. With several upcoming blanks and doubles that favour other ones, it’s hard to find three consecutive Gameweeks for Assistant Manager fun.
There’s a run from the slightly calm Gameweeks 30 to 32, plus the spell between Gameweeks 35 and 38.
