Taking a look at the most popular FPL picks for Gameweek 25 can be hugely enlightening for fantasy managers. Knowing who the majority are selecting within their sides can help you make moves in your team ahead of the new round.
Note: Ownership statistics will inevitably change throughout the week
1. Mohamed Salah – 71.5% Ownership

Gaining just under 1% ownership since Gameweek 24 is Mohamed Salah (£13.7m). This number could rise even more in the build up to the deadline due to the fact he has a double Gameweek against Wolves and Aston Villa this week. Those that do not have the assistant manager chip active could see it as a favourable week to play their triple captain chip on the Egyptian.
2. Cole Palmer – 64.4% Ownership

For the second successive week, Cole Palmer (£11.2m) appears to have lost around 2% of his ownership. This could be mostly due to his lack of form – having managed just one assist in his previous three matches. The Chelsea penalty taker has some mixed fixtures ahead, starting with a match against Brighton next.
3. Alexander Isak – 60.3% Ownership

Breaking the 60% ownership barrier for the first time this season, Alexander Isak (£9.5m) further cements his position as the third most popular player in the game. The Newcastle striker meets with Manchester City this week, so it could be a good opportunity for him to continue his good form.
4. Chris Wood – 42.6% Ownership

Even with a 1% drop, Chris Wood (£7.1m) maintains fourth place. The Nottingham Forest penalty taker has amassed a 17-pointer and 12-pointer in his last three games. This week Wood travels to Fulham, so we could see him add to his seasonal tally.
5. Bryan Mbeumo – 35.3% Ownership

The top five remains exactly the same as Gameweek 24. One player who seems to be gaining ownership fast though is Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m). Brentford have a brilliant run of fixtures with a matchup against West Ham triggering their schedule ahead. The Hammers continue to produce concerning defensive data, of which Mbeumo could take advantage of.
The Rest of the Top 10

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.4m) appears to have gained an additional 2% ownership on Gameweek 24. This is no surprise as Liverpool navigate back-to-back double Gameweeks. There has been some doubt around his fitness though, so monitoring his status could be crucial.
Making no significant changes in popularity is Nottingham Forest dull-back Ola Aina (£5.4m). This is mostly due to his sides impressive clean sheet record this season. Fulham away next could be challenging, and their match against the Cottagers, signals a torrid run of fixtures ahead.
Dropping just under 1% ownership since the previous round hasn’t stopped Gabriel (£6.3m) from climbing up a place this week. Arsenal have a fantastic opportunity to keep a clean sheet against promoted side Leicester.
Allowing Gabriel to climb up this week was Erling Haaland (£14.7m), after losing 2% in popularity. Manchester City come up against Newcastle in Gameweek 25, which could be limiting for the Norwegian based on Newcastle’ impressive defence recently.
Just about keeping his spot in the top 10 is David Raya (£5.5m). The Arsenal goalkeeper could well keep a clean sheet against Leicester this week. This is because the Foxes have been extremely poor in front of goal as of late – failing to score in four of their previous six matches.
