The new round of the Champions League is about to begin and so we continue coverage by reeling off the UCL Fantasy Matchday 9 best differentials. To help us we consider lots of different factors including team and player form, fixture difficulty and stats.
Differentials are players who have low ownership. Owning a differential who has success can be extremely influential on both mini-league position and overall rank. Because of this checking out our UCL Fantasy Matchday 9 differentials can be extremely beneficial.
Rodrygo – 6% Ownership

Real Madrid have found themselves with a tasty clash against English giants Manchester City this week. Pep Guardiola aren’t the team they were in recent seasons, and their recent humiliating 5-1 defeat to Arsenal is a good example of where they are at the moment in terms of form.
Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior have struggled to find chemistry this season, but they remain hugely popular picks in UCL Fantasy. One player who seems to be going under the radar, even after consecutive excellent performances in the Champions League and La Liga is striker Rodrygo (€8.7m). The Brazilian has been explosive recently – netting back-to-back braces in the Champions League. He heads into the next match in top form, but because of his teammates, he continues to be ignored.
Kolo Munai – 0% Ownership

Juventus, like most teams playing in Matchday 9, have been extremely hit and miss so far this season. The Italian side have lacked offensively on numerous occasions, and it was that bluntness in front of goal that pushed them into signing a new striker during the January transfer window.
That player is Kolo Muani, who at the time of writing is yet to be added into UCL Fantasy. Juventus come up against PSV at home this week, a venue they recently netted four goals in against Empoli. Among those goals was Muani, who has netted three times in his first two matches at the club. PSV may have impressed at times during their campaign, but they have shipped at least two goals in a huge six of their previous seven matches, which suggests they are a team to target.
Maghnes Akliouche – 1% Ownership

Monaco have already met with Benfica in the Champions League this season. The game ended 2-3, so could we see a repeat of that this week? Well, the French side play at home, where they have won their previous three matches, racking up eight goals in the meantime.
Favourites for the game in Matchday 9, Monaco have form at their side, and one of their attackers we could consider is the talented Maghnes Akliouche (€5.3m). The 22-year-old really has been a highlight for the French side this campaign and he has already produced a goal contribution against Barcelona, GNK Dinamo and Crevna Zvezda. With new in-form striker Mika Biereth ahead of him, his chances of returning this week increase.
Raphael Guerreiro – 2% Ownership

Whilst Bayern have disappointed hugely from a defensive perspective this season, and many won’t back them to keep a clean sheet, even against Celtic, they are still one of the favourites to keep to clean sheet in the round ahead.
Now many will of course flock to centre-back Kim Min-Jae, but Raphaël Guerreiro (€4.7m) is much more convincing from an attacking perspective. The Portuguese full-back has managed three assists and a goal in his previous six matches in all competitions alone. With a unconvincing Celtic side up next, he could have multiple routes to points, even if Bayern do not keep a clean sheet.
Charles De Ketelaere – 4% Ownership

Atalanta have one of the best match-ups on paper in Matchday 9. Whilst their upcoming opponent have impressed during their Champions League campaign, they have also displayed their defensive weaknesses, their latest game against an out of sorts Manchester City is a prime example of that.
Meanwhile, Atalanta continue to score an average of around two goals per game both domestically and in Europe. Now although less effective than fellow striker Mateo Retegui in Serie A, Charles De Ketelaere (€5.8m) has impressively notched up four goals and five assists in just eight Champions League.
