1. Mohamed Salah – 70.7% Ownership

Believe or not, Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) has actually gained ownership over the last week. Liverpool have a double Gameweek against Bournemouth and Everton in the round ahead, so the relentless Egyptian has two opportunities to haul this week, something he has managed on 12 occasions already this season.

2. Cole Palmer – 66.2% Ownership

Cole Palmer (11.3m) maintains his position in the top 10. That may be the case, but the Chelsea penalty taker has lost around 2% ownership since the previous round. This may be due to the fact he has Manchester City next, or due to managers needing budget for moves elsewhere.

3. Alexander Isak – 59.7% Ownership

Gaining an additional 2% ownership since last week Alexander Isak (£9.5m) continues to gather momentum. Interestingly, Newcastle are now moving into a more difficult period of fixtures, starting with a clash against Fulham. It could be a case of fixtures v form with the Swedish international, and form seems to be the winning factor currently.

4. Chris Wood – 43.6% Ownership

A 3% increase in popularity means Chris Wood (£7.1m) continues to catch the appeal of managers. The increase on last week could well be due to his 12-point return against Southampton or his general consistency this season, but either way, a home match against Brighton could be another opportunity for him to pick up points.

5. Bryan Mbeumo – 32.6% Ownership

Completing the top five ahead of Gameweek 24 is Bryan Mbeumo (£7.8m). The Brentford talisman recently played through some tough fixtures, but that is currently changing. Brentford face a poor Tottenham next and have good fixtures after, so Mbeumo’ ownership could sky rocket ahead of the deadline.

The Rest of the Top 10

Bursting back into the top 10 after exiting for several weeks, it’s no surprise to see Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) amongst the most popular picks once more. The biggest contributing factor in that is almost certainly the fact he has a double Gameweek ahead.

Whilst Erling Haaland (£14.7m) has dropped ownership in the last week, Ola Aina (£5.4m) appears to have gained it. The former face Arsenal away this week, which is one of the toughest matches a player can play on paper, and the latter faces Brighton at home.

The Arsenal contingency seems to be dwindling among the top 10. Last week both David Raya (£5.6m) and Gabriel (£6.4m) were joined by teammate William Saliba (£6.2m), but the latter’s injury has seen his demise. As mentioned, Arsenal face Manchester City next up, so keeping a clean sheet isn’t a given.
