Plans

  • In goal I have gone for Alex Bass of Notts County. As well as sitting as the top-scoring goalkeeper in League One and League Two, he has also kept four clean sheets in his last six matches.
  • In defence, I have opted for Mickey Demetriou (C), he is also my captain. The Crewe man is the highest scoring player in the game, and has only seen less than seven points just once in the last nine fixtures.
  • Lloyd Jones (VC) joins my back-three. Similar to Demetriou, Jones has picked up less than seven points once, but in his previous eight games.
  • Cheltenham Town’ Sam Stubbs completes my defence. Stubbs also follows the pattern of returning less than seven points just once in his last nine games.
  • Davis Keillor-Dunn is a shoo-in for my midfield. Prior to his previous game, Keillor-Dunn returned in four consecutive matches. This week he faces Stevenage and Wycombe, two teams that failed to keep a clean sheet last week.
  • Charlton Athletic’ Connor Coventry also makes the cut. Coventry specialises in producing interceptions – he picked up 15 in his previous five games for an average of three per game, which would guarantee him eight points before any key passes or goal contributions.
  • Up front I have chosen to back Will Evans of Mansfield Town. As well as being my final selection, Evans is arguably a differential. In his last five outings he has claimed four goals and this week faces Cambridge and Crawley, two teams who sit in the relegation zone.
  • Notts County are my first team selection. Anything other than six points is a failure for them in their automatic promotion push this week, so they’re a no-brainer for me and many others.
  • I also decided upon Mansfield. They face two teams currently in the relegation zone, which puts them as firm favourites in both. Mansfield are also pushing for the play-offs currently, so motivation will be high.
  • Good luck this week!
