Fantasy EFL Team Reveal for Gameweek 23

Notes

  • In goal I have gone for Owen Goodman of AFC Wimbledon, so far this season Goodman has managed ten clean sheets, which is the second most in League Two. They also face Cheltenham, a side they have already kept a clean sheet against this season.
  • Crewe’ Mickey Demetriou joins my backline. He is currently the highest scoring player in the game and has collected seven or more points in six of his last seven games, he faces Swindon this week.
  • My second defensive pick is Carl Piergianni, who also takes the armband. The Stevenage man is on a nine-game run of scoring five or more points. Next up for him is Burton, who rank second worst in the league for total goals scored.
  • Connor Barrett (VC) of Walsall completes my backline. Barrett plays in the early kick-off and goes into his next match having bagged eight or more points in five consecutive matches prior to his previous fixture.
  • In midfield, Barnsley’ Davis Keillor-Dunn is a shoo-in. Over the festive period he had an impressive run of games – with four eight or more point-returns in a row. His clash with Northampton is a great opportunity for him to continue his form.
  • Jack Lankester of Crewe Alexandra also joins my team. This is mostly due to the fact he collected at least one return in seven of his last eight games. He can be a doubt in terms of minutes at times, so I’ll be monitoring the line-ups.
  • Walsall’ Nathan Lowe is also a shoo-in this week. Lowe has produced a huge 14 goals and five assists already this season. Tranmere lay ahead, who are struggling in League Two and are a perfect opponent for Lowe to thrive against.
  • In terms of my team selections, I have opted for Barnsley and Huddersfield. Barnsley play Northampton, who haven’t won in five matches, whereas Barnsley have won their last four, including two good away wins against Bolton and Peterborough. Huddersfield clash with Shrewsbury next, who have only picked up one win in their last eight. Huddersfield on the other hand, have won their last four away games, so could pick up more points away from home this week.
