Serie A Fantasy Round 18 Top Picks

Last modified date

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 18 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.

It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.

Goalkeepers – Devis Vasquez (€4.0m – 24.5%)

Vasquez hasn’t hauled in quite a while, but I still trust the Empoli GK at this point of the season. He has a home match at the Stadio Castellani against Genoa this week, and then he will be playing during the blank against Venezia. He is very useful if you plan to dead end in Round 19 and then rehaul your team with the Wildcard in Double Round 20.

Wladimiro Falcone (€4.6m – 3.0%)

The Lecce goalie has been very consistent in every season when it comes to being one of the best cheap options in his position. Lecce have improved under new manager Giampaolo and they have a reasonable fixture away at Como.

Defenders – Amir Rrahmani (€6.0m – 9.7%)

Many players, myself included, brought him in to replace the injured Buongiorno and he did not disappoint, scoring and providing a 12-point-haul. Venezia at home is definitely a fixture in which double Napoli defence could be very crucial.

Juan Miranda (€4.6m – 4.4%)

He returned from injury to assist in Bologna’s victory against Torino. Before, he was always playing 90 minutes and wasn’t rotated as much as other players: the red&blue team have also been improving defensively. So, I think having one of their defenders (either Miranda or Beukema), could be viable from now on.

Midfielders – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€11.4m – 57.8%)

Those who don’t plan on doubling up on Napoli’s defence for the double will most likely have their eyes on the Georgian winger. He returned (faster than expected) from injury in a bench cameo against Genoa and will be most likely available for the Venezia match. Conte wasn’t happy with his team during the weekend and Kvara could really shake things up for them.

Charles De Ketelaere (€9.6m – 13.9%)

The Belgian has carried Atalanta to the top of Serie A from a creative point of view, as he ranks the best in the League for xA. CDK has been quite good in front of goal this campaign – netting five. But, he has also been keeping up the pace points wise with the likes of Lookman and Retegui. The latter however is now injured, which could give De Ketelaere more chances to score.

Forwards – Marcus Thuram (€9.4m – 61.7%)

I’m keeping Thuram on the list. As I said before, Retegui is injured, and Thuram is the only striker whose numbers are worth comparing to the defenders and midfielders. Cagliari away is still a good fixture, since the team from Sardinia have just lost against Venezia.

Yoan-Ange Bonny (€4.4m – 10.7%)

Serie A Fantasy Round 18 Top Picks

The French U20 striker has been quite silent recently. In his defence, Parma’ fixtures have been far from good. Next is Monza at home, which should be much easier. Bonny also plays in the blank away at Torino, so I would definitely keep him if I owned him.
