Who tops the list?
This week Mohamed Salah (£13.4m) leads the top 10 predicted points, and by a distance. In fact, the Liverpool man is expected to pick up a huge 9.29 points this week. The Egyptians dominance shouldn’t be a major suprise as he faces promoted side Leicester in Gameweek 18.
The Rest of the Top Five
Cole Palmer gets closest to Salah for points this week with 7.42. Chelsea continue to impress offensively, and they take their scoring form into a meeting with London rivals Fulham at home, which Palmer could benefit in.
Sitting third in the is Bukayo Saka with 7.15 points. Arsenal face Ipswich at home this week, and due to their second-worst ranking in the league for total big chances conceded, Saka could really scrutinise the backline this week if fit. Monitoring news on his status will be key though, after he picked up an injury in Gameweek 17 against Crystal Palace.
Ranking fourth with just under seven points, Erling Haaland is another player expected to do well this week. Manchester City have been inconsistent, and their Norwegian striker is partly to blame. Everton at home next could see him back amongst the goals.
Completing the top five, is a second Arsenal player. The fixture against Ipswich could be a fantastic opportunity for Arsenal to rack up the goals. Another player who should contribute is Martin Odegaard, a player who has blanked in his last four matches.
Who else features in the top 10?
Manchester United come head-to-head to with the worst defence in the league this week, Wolves. After Gary O’Neil’ departure, Wolves will be hoping to tighten up at the back this week, but may find it difficult against Bruno Fernandes and co.
Liverpool have kept more clean sheets than any other side so far this season. So, it comes as no surprise that Trent Alexander-Arnold makes the top 10. He also has attacking potential going into a match against a poor Leicester defence.
Joint with Trent Alexander-Arnold on points for Gameweek 18 is Kevin De Bruyne. The Manchester City midfielder has produced three goal contributions in his last three starts.
Based on form, another player who many would expect to make the list, breaks into the top 10. Alexander Isak has racked up three double-digit hauls in his last four matches – highlighting an exceptional run of form.
Completing the list and expected to collect 4.99 points is Arsenal’ Gabriel. The Brazilian heads into his clash against Ipswich with both defensive and offensive potential.
