There were high expectations in the community for Aston Villa’ home game against Southampton. Those that held onto striker Ollie Watkins (£9m) felt that Gameweek 15 could be the week he picks up a double-digit haul.
The above wasn’t the case. In fact, Watkins failed to start the game, playing around 30 minutes and blanking in the meantime. Another player who failed to pick up a goal contribution was popular midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.3m).
With tough fixtures ahead, Watkins owners may finally part way. The same could be said for full-back Lucas Digne (£4.7m), who also couldn’t make the starting XI against Southampton.

One of the biggest moments of Gameweek 15 came between Brentford v Newcastle. The Bees are in the midst of a tough run of fixtures, and it was this run that many felt it was the right time to ditch the likes of midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.7m) and striker Yoane Wissa (£6.2m).
Both assets proved their doubters wrong however. In fact, Mbeumo produced a goal and an assist, whilst Wissa scored. With Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Brighton up next, it could be wise to hold onto both assets, at least for the short term.

There was lots to unpack from the Crystal Palace v Manchester City match. Several big moments during the game came from Manchester City defender Rico Lewis (£4.7m). After losing the clean sheet early on, Lewis then rewarded his owners by scoring a goal. However, a second yellow card quickly followed the first, and he was sent off with a four-point return.
Lewis wasn’t the only Manchester City player involved amongst the goals. Striker Erling Haaland (£15m) picked up eight points for his goal and two bonus, making it his second goal in his last six matches. The Norwegian faces an inconsistent Manchester United next up, so it could be a good opportunity to better that of his previous game.

Andy fell victim to Saturday’ action. Mbeumo was one of two players many including Andy sold during the last several rounds. The other player, as we can see, was Newcastle striker and penalty taker Alexander Isak (£8.5m).
The Magpies were crushed away from home by Brentford, but Isak found a way to score and take away an eight-point return. In form and with some great fixtures ahead, Isak seems to be gaining more and more traction as the weeks go by. Is a meet with Leicester and Ipswich in the next two matches too difficult to ignore?
