FPL: Buy Sell and Keep for Gameweek 12
The 11th round of Fantasy Premier League is over so we look to the next and look at which players are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 12. Whether that be through injury, team and player form or other factors we advise the potential fate of assets in your teams.
Looking at players who are a buy sell and keep for Gameweek 12 could be extremely beneficial to FPL managers. Knowing what to do with assets in your team can ultimately bring clarity with transfer use, captaincy and chip strategy.
Buy
- Arsenal – The Gooners are coming into a great run of fixtures, so it could be time to invest once more. Gabriel (£6.1m) remains a standout in defence due to his goal threat. But, Jurrien Timber (£5.5m) could be a cheap alternative. In attack the best option is penalty taker and midfielder Bukayo Saka (£10.1m).
- Bournemouth – The Cherries start a good run of fixtures against Brighton at home this week. Although inconsistent in defence, full-back Milos Kerkez (£4.4m) could be a more attacking route in. Antoine Semenyo (£5.7m) could be worth monitoring due to his flag, but if fit he is one of their better attacking options. Leading the Bournemouth attack, some could select Evanilson (£5.9m) who scored in his latest match.
- Brighton – Fixtures are starting to ease for the Seagulls this week. Those looking for a goalkeeper then Bart Verbruggen (£4.5m) could offer potential, whilst flying full-back Pervis Estupinan (£5m) offers himself up as a defender option. It may be difficult to look past the strikers in attack, with Danny Welbeck (£6m) in exceptional form this season, and penalty taker Joao Pedro (£5.4m) returning from injury.
- Chelsea – Third place Chelsea have a lovely schedule ahead. The Blues have goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.7m) and centre-back Levi Colwill (£4.5m) as defensive options, but some could take a risk with the well rested Chelsea captain and set piece taker Reece James (£4.9m). Cole Palmer (£10.9m) is a shoo-in for many in attack, whilst striker Nicolas Jackson (£7.9m) is in an-form forward option. For those who want to go even cheaper, then midfielder Pedro Neto (£6.2m) has become integral to the frontline recently.
- Alexander Isak (£8.5m) – The Magpies face some of the worst defences in the league up next, bar Liverpool. Leading the line is striker Isak who has scored in each of his last three matches. He also takes his sides penalties, which is something a lot of other striker options do not have.
- Wolves – It isn’t too late to jump on Wolves assets. Gary O’Neil’s men have some great matches ahead. Full-back Rayan-Ait Nouri (£4.7m) is by far the most attacking defensive option at their disposal. The same could be said for Matheus Cunha (£6.8m) in attack. But, a cheaper route into the efficient Wolves frontline is fellow striker Strand Larsen (£5.6m)
Sell
- Kai Havertz (£8m) – Arsenal may have good fixtures but their striker ranks amongst the worst in the league for non penalty expected goal involvement delta. This shows he has hugely underperformed recently, and their are cheaper and more in-form options out there.
- Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace may have shown flickers of better form recently, but they have some tough fixtures coming up. There are other alternatives with better fixtures and potential across all positions available.
- Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.7m) – Although with a good fixture next up, Calvert-Lewin has been awful recently – blanking in his last seven matches on the bounce. As mentioned there are several other striker options out there to pick from who have shown better and more consistent output.
- Phil Foden (£9.2m) – Manchester City have been extremely poor recently. This has had a negative impact on assets like Foden. The midfielder has managed just one return in his last five matches, so it could be time to sell.
- Chris Wood (£6.6m) – Wood has been excellent for Nottingham Forest this season. However, with tough fixtures ahead, starting with an away fixture against Arsenal, it could be time to ship him off. Doing so with cheaper options out there would also provide sellers with additional budget.
- Tottenham – Ange Postecoglu’s men have been extremely inconsistent this season. What’s even worse is that they are coming into a tough run of fixtures. Costing a fair amount each, the Spurs assets could be moved on for much cheaper options with better fixtures.
Keep
- Aston Villa – Three home fixtures in the next four matches could be perfect for the Aston Villa assets. So, options like striker Ollie Watkins (£9m) and midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.4m) could have huge potential.
- Bryan Mbeumo (£7.9m) – Brentford have two great fixtures left so whilst it may be too late to buy Mbeumo, holding is advised. Mbeumo has been excellent so far this season so two good fixtures could mean we see him extend that form.
- Fulham – Similar to Brentford assets, Fulham also have tough fixtures soon. But, with Wolves next, selling the likes of striker Raul Jimenez (£5.8m) and midfielder Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) could be a huge mistake.
- Liverpool – Arguably assets like midfielder Mohamed Salah (£12.9m) and defender Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7m) could even be a buy this week with Southampton next. With games like Manchester City and Newcastle after the Saints, many may consider selling, but teams like Manchester City are out of form so keeping hold of Liverpool’s expensive assets could be a good play.
- Erling Haaland (£15.2m) – The Norwegian has been well below his usual standard recently. But, he comes up against a Tottenham side, potentially without key defensive players. He is also sustaining elite underlying attacking data, so this week could be the week he cashes in on that.
