Serie A Fantasy Round 12 Top Picks
The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 12 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.
It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.
Goalkeepers – Michele Di Gregorio (€6.0m – 17.9%)
Its Derby time for Juventus, who are still unbeaten in Serie A. Excluding the four goals shipped during the Inter match, they have only conceded three goals in their other games. Torino also really lack attacking output after the injuries to Zapata and Che Adams.
Mike Maignan (€6.2m – 11.7%)
Despite Milan looking very hit and miss at the back, Maignan is keeping up the pace in this game, matching top tier picks like Sommer and Svilar. In fact, since mid September, Milan have been banking a clean sheet every two games.
Defenders – Nuno Tavares (€5.0m – 16.7%)
He was suspended for the Monday night victory against Cagliari, but now he will be available to play against probably the least threatening attack in the league. It is unlikely that he keeps up his rate of one assist per game, but his form is undeniable and we must profit from it as long as it lasts.
Robin Gosens (€5.4m – 6.7%)
Fiorentina is as of now the surprise of the season. Their solid defensive record is massively due to Palladino finding a consistent back four to rely on each game, which didn’t happen last season with Italiano (who rotated every chance he got). Dodo’s minutes are more reliable, but Gosens’ attacking threat is good enough to at least match the Brazilian LB.
Midfielders – Ademola Lookman (€9.4m – 46.8%)
Lookman’s non-owners have suffered a lot during the last three weeks: four goals and two assists for the Nigerian striker. With a home game against Udinese next, not having him again will require a big sofa to hide behind while the match plays out.
Mattia Zaccagni (€7.2m – 33.0%)
Back from illness and with a bang! Zaccagni returned in the second half of Lazio v Cagliari, scoring a penalty in the process. Assuming he now has the spot kicks all to himself, owners can try to take the most out of his next three good Rounds before the fixtures swing.
Forwards – Mateo Retegui (€6.8m – 62.0%)
Gasperini benching him against Napoli wasn’t enough to stop the Italian striker, who scored after barely 15 minutes on the pitch. At his price, he is a must own: at this rate he’s going to match his point tally from last season by mid December already.
Moise Kean (€5.2m – 34.5%)
After his injury scare in midweek, he was able to repay the managers who stuck with him with a goal against Torino. Three goals in his last two appearances: if Retegui didn’t exist he would be the best budget forward around.
