We caught up with some FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 11. The experts included cover a range of different topics from chips and the best players to player and team form and more as we head into the new round.
Catching up with the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 11 could be both fun and insightful. The experts cover some of the key topics ahead of the new round which could help bring clarity to some of the decisions we have to make in our own teams.

Arsenal were a key topic during the build up to Gameweek 11, or at least one player in particular. Centre-back Gabriel (£6.2m) picked up an injury in the previous round and many were waiting on news on his fitness ahead of the clash with Newcastle.
Gabriel started the match but failed to deliver significant points for the fifth consecutive game. With no clean sheets in their previous five matches, there seems to be growing concerns around their defensive assets. Taking into account their form and upcoming fixtures against Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United, some managers may even look to downgrade the likes of Gabriel ahead of the new round.

There is plenty to think about ahead of the new round and Manchester City have become a hot topic in the community as of late. The champions continue to lose key players due to injury and that seems to be affecting their overall performances.
Striker Erling Haaland (£15.4m) appears to be one of their players who have gone off the boil recently. The Norwegian has returned just once in his previous five matches, which for his price could be seen as unacceptable. Because of this, and his fixtures against Brighton, Tottenham, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest in the next four, Haaland is another player on the chopping block ahead of the new round.

Jian highlighted a player who seems to be going in the opposite direction of other popular assets. Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) has become the most consistent and explosive asset in the game – with returns in all but two of his matches and six double-digit hauls.
Owning both Salah and Haaland has been a difficult balance in FPL this season. But, with Haaland’s demise and Salah’s recent output, there’s growing confidence within the community that selling Haaland to fund Salah could be successful. Even with fixtures against Aston Villa, Manchester City and Newcastle droves of managers have already made that move.

Another player who caused a lot of frustration amongst FPL managers is Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.9m). Everton are unbeaten in their last five matches. But, that hasn’t done anything for their man strikers output.
Calvert-Lewin has blanked in every single one of his previous six matches, making him a huge concern for owners. It could be a great opportunity to move him on this week and many will be looking to the likes of Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood (£6.5m) and Brentford’s Yoane Wissa (£6m) as a replacement.

Another player Calvert-Lewin owners could look to replace him with is Matheus Cunha (£6.6m). The Wolves striker has been in impressive form recently – returning in three of his last five games. One of those returns came in the previous round against Crystal Palace.
With fantastic fixtures ahead, FPL managers could turn their attention to Wolves assets as a whole, with the likes of full-back Rayan Ait Nouri (£4.6m) also gaining traction. Ait-Nouri has been one of the most attacking defenders in the game as of late – scoring three goals and bagging an assist in his last five matches.
