FPL Gameweek 10 Top 5 Best Players to Buy on Deadline Day

Last modified date

The new round of Fantasy Premier League is here. For that reason we pick out the FPL Gameweek 10 top 5 players to buy on deadline day. To do this we consider several different factors including player form, statistics and fixture difficulty.

FPL Deadline days can be some of the most stressful and exciting times of the season. Because of that we clear out the noise and pick five players you should be considering in your team ahead of the new round. We’ll avoid players like Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland due to their already high ownership. So, lets dive in!

1. Matheus Cunha

Matheus Cunha

The change of schedule is a positive one for Wolves as they try and put their rough start to the campaign behind them. This week could see their first win of the season as they come head-to-head with Crystal Palace.

Likely influencing the game for Wolves from attack is main man Matheus Cunha (£6.6m). As well as scoring two goals in his previous three matches, Cunha also has huge assist potential – ranking above every other forward in the league thus far for chances and big chances created.

2. Rayan Ait-Nouri

Raya Ait Nouri

Tough fixtures for Trent Alexander Arnold, injury doubts over Gabriel, and Pedro Porro’s less than inspiring performances are all forcing FPL managers to the market for a cheap defender and Wolves may just offer that. Defending hasn’t been their strong suit, but could a good run of fixtures ahead change that?

Regardless of clean sheet potential Rayan Ait Nouri (£4.6m) still offers huge value. The Algerian has produced a jaw-dropping three goals and one assist in his previous four matches, and his underlying data is also hugely promising.

3. Yoane Wissa

The Bees have been inconsistent this season, but incredibly they rank third best in the league for total goals scored so far. Brentford talisman Bryan Mbeumo has become so popular recently that owning him isn’t do much good for rank or mini-league position.

One way to benefit from the efficient Brentford frontline is by adding striker Yoane Wissa (£6m). The Congo international registered four attacking returns in his first four matches of the season, and he is showing that same effectiveness once again after scoring and assisting in his previous game. Wissa has fantastic fixtures ahead, starting with a match against a leaky Fulham defence.

4. Raul Jimenez

Form has been an issue for Fulham recently. The Cottagers have failed to win any of their last three matches, so bouncing back will be a priority for them. Although short of winning form, Fulham haven’t failed to score in any of their previous eight outings.

With Brentford next, Fulham have a great opportunity to continue their goal scoring form. Spearheading the frontline is of course Raul Jimenez (£5.7m). Prior to his blank in Gameweek 9 the Mexican managed a return in a huge five matches on the bounce.

5. Emile Smith Rowe

Fulham feature heavily this week and that may be surprising to some. The fact that Fulham are regular scorers helps their cause but that isn’t their biggest appeal this week. A lot of their appeal comes from their fixture against Brentford.

Brentford may not appear as one of the best teams to target, but their underlying data suggests otherwise. In fact, when compared to every other side they rank the worst in the league for total shots on target conceded. That, his price and three returns in his previous three matches indicates Emile Smith Rowe (£5.7m) as a great option this week.
