Serie A Fantasy Round 10 Top Picks

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 10 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.

It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.

Goalkeepers – David De Gea (€4.8m – 22.5%)

After a rocky start, Fiorentina have finally found their groove and are surprisingly sitting in the Champions League positions. The shift to a back-four has had a positive impact for their defensive line, with De Gea now amongst the best goalkeepers in the game. I’m expecting a good result against Genoa, who reside at the opposite side of the table in a relegation battle.

Maduka Okoye (€4.8m – 4.9%)

I’m keeping Okoye on the list once again because Udinese were one of the very few teams who managed to maintain the full clean sheet during Round 9. The team seems very able to maintain control of the ball against weaker sides, without conceding big chances to their opposition. Next up, they have a match away at Venezia.

Defenders – Federico Dimarco (€6.6m – 38.6%)

Inter’s defence is hardly on anyone’s radar right now, as the reigning Serie A Champions have conceded way more than expected. However, I feel like Empoli (as good as they’ve been this season), lack the offensive quality to threaten Inzaghi’s side. With Carlos Augusto out with an injury, Dimarco and Bastoni’s chances to play a full game and get the maximum amount of clean sheet points drastically increase.

Berat Djimsiti (€4.8m – 6.4%)

During the transfer window his future seemed away from Atalanta. In the end he stayed, and he’s the defender with the most amount of minutes played for the team, which is important in a midweek Round where teams will probably rotate players. His points tally is low, mostly because of Atalanta’s bad defensive record, but a home game against Monza could be good for returns.

Midfielders – Ademola Lookman (€9.2m – 39.1%)

We’re 25% into the season, and if he goes on at this pace his output will be better than the two previous great campaigns’ (10 non penalty goals and six assists each, he’s already at three npG + four A). Given that his minutes have also been managed recently, I can see him starting and wreaking havoc against Monza.

Kenan Yildiz (€4.8m – 48.6%)

After his POTM performance against Inter, I bet Thiago Motta will think twice before benching him again. Juve’s next opponents are Parma, whose difficulty to defend counter-attacks could be extremely beneficial for the Turkish wonderkid.

Forwards – Marcus Thuram (€9.2m – 50.5%)

Despite not being as prolific as Mateo Retegui, Thuram is keeping up the pace with the Italian striker in the forwards’ point leaderboard (86 vs 81). With Lautaro still in search of his best form, Thuram is the focal point of Inter’s attack, providing assists, gaining penalties and overall being a great target man for Dimarco and Darmian’s crosses into the box.

Moise Kean (€5.0m – 30.8%)

Fiorentina’s offensive output in the last few games has been something else. Between Serie A and the Conference League, they have scored 19 goals in five matches, including a 6-0 against Lecce and a 5-1 vs Roma (both games were without Gudmundsson too!). I have been very surprised, as Palladino seems to have shed his limitations and found a system which works better with the players he has at his disposal, including Moise Kean. The former Juventus striker scored a brace against Roma and he’s aiming to get more when they face Genoa (who just conceded three to Lazio) on Thursday evening.
