Gameweek 8-10 Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

Who has the best fixtures?

Topping the fixture ticker from Gameweeks 8-10 is Everton. The Toffees have been improving as of late and come up against two of the three promoted sides, Ipswich and Southampton. They also face Fulham at home which could be another good opportunity.

Joining Everton in the top three is Leicester. The Foxes failed to win any of their matches prior to Gameweek 6 but a win in the last round could be just the change in form they need. Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Ipswich lay ahead for the promoted side next.

Ipswich rank third on the ticker. Zero wins so far doesn’t reflect a side settling into Premier league life. But, with fixtures against Everton, Brentford and Leicester in their next three matches, that could well change.

Best Players to Buy

Everton could offer up some great value for money assets in the period ahead. Between the sticks is last season’s highest scoring goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (£4.8m) who some could opt for. Those looking for a defender could select centre-back James Tarkowski (£4.8m). Striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£6m) leads the Everton attack and takes their penalties. A more in-form attacking option would be midfielder Dwight McNeil (£5.7m) who has banked two double-digit hauls in his last four matches.

With the current cost of players in the game, especially the most consistent assets, budget picks are becoming even more important. Another side who offer that is Ipswich. Full-back Leif Davis (£4.5m) dominates distribution data in his position so he could be the standout defensive option. Centre-back Jacob Greaves (£4.1m) is a less attacking but cheaper route into the backline. Lack of consistency in attacking teammates and his recent run of form makes striker Liam Delap (£5.6m) their best attacking pick.

Manchester City, unlike, the others, have proven form. They have three great fixtures and assets like defender Rico Lewis (£4.7m) and striker Erling Haaland (£15.4m) remain the standout in their respective positions. An alternative option in defence is Josko Gvardiol (£5.9m) whilst in attack midfielder Phil Foden (£9.2m) continues to gain momentum.

Who else should we consider?

Nottingham Forest also have favourable fixtures ahead. They too have lots of great cheap options at the back, including goalkeeper Matz Sels (£4.5m) and full-back Ola Aina (£4.5m). Penalty taker Chris Wood (£6.2m) leads the frontline and has scored in four matches already this season. Some could even consider midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.4m) who has returned in two of his last four games.

Tottenham are another team we should look to. In defence Pedro Porro (£5.5m) remains top for total attempts on goal amongst all defenders. A cheaper route into the defence is Mickey Van de Ven (£4.5m). In attack James Maddison (£7.5m) has picked up two double-digit hauls in his last three games whilst fellow midfielder Brenan Johnson (£6.6m) has scored in each of his last three matches. Leading the attack is striker Dominic Solanke (£7.6m) who could also be a great picks after returning in his last three matches in the bounce.

Other teams worth sticking with include Aston Villa, of whom striker Ollie Watkins (£9.1m) and midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.3m) remain great picks. This goes for Fulham midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe (£5.7m). Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£7.5m) also continues to be a great option.

Should I use a Chip?

One chip that could be a consideration ahead of Gameweek 8 is the Wildcard. There are plenty of fixture swings to navigate in the coming weeks and many FPL managers my feel like it could be best to activate the chip.
