Top 10 Best Forwards in UCL Fantasy So Far

The international break is here and for Europe’s biggest clubs football is on pause. So, we take the opportunity, with the help of the official UEFA website, to look back and reflect on the top 10 best forwards in UCL Fantasy so far.

During the international break we will be continuing our coverage of UCL Fantasy. Keeping what has happened fresh in our minds could be hugely helpful for planning when the new round arrives. So, let’s take a look at the best forwards in UCL Fantasy so far, counting down from 10th.

6th-10th

Squeezing into the top 10 is Kai Havertz (€8m). The German international fell short in Arsenal’s opening game against Atalanta but bounced back with a 10-pointer in Matchday 2 against Paris. As well as scoring against the French champions Havertz also picked up the player of the match award. Shakhtar lay ahead which could be a great fixture for Havertz.

Robert Lewandowski (€9.5m) matched Havertz’s total due his efforts. Barcelona lost their first game against Monaco in Matchday 1 and their main man failed to return. He then responded with a brace against Young Boys. His potential may be limited with a clash against Bayern next up.

Benfica have started their new campaign well – winning both of their first two matches. Contributing to goals in both was Kerem Akturkoglu (€6.1m). Matchday 3 could be a brilliant opportunity to add to his two goals already as his side face an out of sorts Feyenoord ahead.

Antoine Griezmann (€9.1m) had an extremely disappointing match against Benfica last time out – playing just 45 minutes and collecting just one point. However, 13 of his 14 points came in his opening match against Leipzig in which he scored, assisted and won the player of the match award. Lille at home in Matchday 3 could see him back to his best.

Sitting sixth in the top 10 is rising star Benjamin Sesko (€7.5m). Sesko followed up his goal against Atleti with a brace against Juventus in the most recent round. Liverpool at home could be one of Leipzig’s toughest opposition this season so Sesko may struggle to sustain his output.

5th – Serhou Guirassy

Breaking into the top five is Serhou Guirassy (€7.6m). Dortmund are another side who have started their season exceptionally – winning both of their games and racking up a huge 10 goals in the process. Amongst them was their frontman who as well as winning a penalty and scoring in Matchday 1 against Club Brugge also scored a brace in his sides 7-1 win against Celtic. Guirassy may find it difficult to add to his 17 points with a game against Real Madrid next up.

4th – Mehdi Taremi

Sitting fourth amongst the top 10 best forwards in UCL Fantasy so far is Mehdi Taremi (€7m). Three of his impressive 19 points came from his blank against Manchester City in the first round but the majority of his total came from his two assists, goal scored and player of the match award against Crvena Zvezda recently. Young Boys away could hold plenty of potential for both Inter and Taremi this week.

3rd – Dusan Vlahovic

Juventus have also collected six points from their first two matches. Stuttgart lay ahead for them and taking into account his 19 points due to one assist, two goals and player of the match award so far, Dusan Vlahovic (€8m) goes into the game in top form.

2nd – Abdallah Sima

One player who could surprise with his entry is Brest striker Abdallah Sima (€5.1m). The French side beat Strum Graz 2-1 in Matchday 1 and Salzburg 4-0 immediately after and Sima bagged eight points for his goal and player of the match award and two goals and player of the match award respectively. Sima faces tough opposition this week as his side clash with an in form Leverkusen at home.

1st – Harry Kane

Edging every other forward in the game, and one which may come as no surprise, is Harry Kane (€10.6m). The Bayern star picked up just two points in his recent match but it was his Matchday 1 fixture that saw most of his points. A huge 21 of his 23 points came against GNK Dinamo after he scored four goals and picked up the player of the match award.
