Serie A Fantasy Round 7 Top Picks

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 7 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.

It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.

Goalkeepers – Mile Svilar (€5.0m – 27.0%)

The Roma goalie continues to be a fantastic option, only failing to get at least seven points once. Monza, Roma’s next opponents, seem by far the least threatening side in the League (only about 2.5 xG), so I’m expecting Svilar’s good trend to continue.

Jesse Joronen (€4.6m – 2.3%)

I would have never expected the Venezia goalkeeper to ever feature on this list, but here we are. After six Rounds he’s gathered more points than premium options like Sommer and Di Gregorio. Also, despite a losing effort at Roma, Venezia are showing signs of improvement and solidity.

Defenders – Pierre Kalulu (€4.8m – 1.1%)

Another week, another clean sheet for Juventus. And with Bremer being out for the time being, Kalulu will get more space as a CB in partnership with Gatti, who’s just returned from injury himself. The young French defender is looking to put himself on notice after being loaned out from Milan, and if he keeps the spot over Danilo (likely), he could be a cheap way into Juve’s backline, which I think will still be very good in the absence of their best player.

Alessandro Buongiorno (€6.8m – 17.3%)

Three clean sheets in a row for Napoli, as Conte’s teachings are now starting to provide results on the pitch. Como are no team to underestimate, but with Napoli being top of the League, I’m sure Buongiorno and Di Lorenzo will be able to handle what’s coming for them.

Midfielders – Christian Pulisic (€9.2m – 41.4%)

Pulisic’s goal contributions in the last year have been on par with Lautaro and Leao’s. Although double Milan midfield could be viable going forward, Pulisic seems a better option than Leao, being cheaper by 2m. The American is in top form, and Milan will face a Fiorentina side with two less days rest/training due to their midweek fixture on Thursday.

Darko Lazovic (€5.8m – 8.6%)

Although I put Joronen between the best goalkeepers, I want to also praise a player from Verona (Venezia’s next opponents). Lazovic has surprisingly good stats (1G, 3A) and, as we saw during the weekend, he can take penalties. Verona are by no means pushovers, managing to have tight games against Como and Torino, scoring despite a one-man disadvantage.

Marcus Thuram (€9.0m – 46.0%)

Lautaro has (maybe) returned to form, but as of now, Thuram remains the safest option from Inter’s forwards roster. There are rumours of him being rested during the UCL midweek fixture (you’ll now by the time this piece goes live), which would give the French striker a boost in the home fixture against Torino (who have been conceding a lot as of late).

Santiago Castro (€4.6m – 3.3%)

Most likely the biggest surprise in terms of players this season. The 20-year-old striker barely played 250 minutes last season, and seemed destined for another year on the bench when Bologna signed Dallinga as their main striker. However, Castro has proved everyone wrong. In fact after three consecutive goals, it seems it is now his place to lose. Just be careful, as Italiano is well known for his rotation mania.
