Gameweek 7-9 Fixtures

Below we can see the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker in difficulty order. The teams at the top have the easiest fixtures and the teams at the bottom have the toughest fixtures.

Who has the best fixtures?

At the top of the fixture ticker for the period ahead is Manchester City. The 2023/24 Premier League champions come up against Fulham, Wolves and Southampton in the next three matches and could offer both offensive and defensive potential.

Sitting in second is the less than convincing so far Everton. The Toffees clash with Bournemouth, Southampton and Nottingham Forest next up but due to their inconsistency many within the community may be slightly put off in terms of investment.

Another side who have started the season questionably is Leicester. The Foxes sit amongst the top three sides on the ticker this week as they face Newcastle, Ipswich and Fulham. But, similar to Everton they may struggle to convince FPL managers that they are worthy of investment.

Best Players to Buy

Manchester City are up there with some of best teams to invest in for the period ahead. Defensively those looking for someone reliable in terms of minutes could opt for Josko Gvardiol (£5.9m). A much cheaper route into the defence is Rico Lewis (£4.7m) who spends most of his time in midfield. Most will already own penalty taker and striker Erling Haaland (£15.3m) so some could be considering Bernardo Silva (£6.5m) as an additional avenue into their frontline. Many will also be keeping tabs on fellow midfielder Phil Foden (£9.3m).

Aston Villa remains a fantastic side to invest in as they face off with Manchester United, Fulham and Bournemouth. The lack of clean sheets is a concern for Unai Emery’s men but for those looking to invest in their defence Ezri Konsa (£4.5m) is the cheapest and most reliable way in. Spearheading the frontline is star striker Ollie Watkins (£9m) but midfielder Morgan Rogers (£5.2m) continues to impress after hitting two assists in a recent match against Wolves.

Tottenham are another team who could gather more and more attention in the coming weeks. They clash with Brighton, West Ham and Crystal Palace in their next three fixtures. They too have struggled defensively but Pedro Porro (£5.6m) remains a significant attacking threat. There are plenty of attacking options to choose from with Son Heung-Min (£10m) and fellow midfielder James Maddison (£7.5m) up for grabs. Whilst the latter has impressed hugely as of late so has forward Dominic Solanke (£7.5m).

Who else should we consider?

Wolves, Manchester United and Ipswich could mean potential for Brentford. Like many the Bees have struggled defensively but goalkeeper Mark Flekken (£4.5m) could be the standout defensive option. Injury to Yoane Wissa has limited their attacking pool but penalty taker and talisman Bryan Mbeumo (£7.3m) is in fantastic form.

Arsenal may face Liverpool but they also meet with Southampton and Bournemouth. At the back goalkeeper David Raya (£5.6m) could be the cheapest way into the defence whilst centre-back Gabriel (£6.1m) could offer owners more attacking threat. FPL managers should also look to back the Arsenal frontline with penalty taker Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) being their most effective attacking asset. An alternative option could well be forward Kai Havertz (£8.2m) who will be hoping to pick back up his early season form.

Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Leicester may not be as difficult as it looks on paper for Nottingham Forest. The Reds have sustained some great defensive data so FPL managers could consider goalkeeper Matz Sels (£4.5m) and centre-back Murillo (£4.5m). Penalty taker Chris Wood (£6.2m) appears to be the best option in attack but winger and former Chelsea man Callum Hudson-Odoi (£5.4m) has also impressed recently.

Should I use a Chip?

One chip that could be a consideration ahead of Gameweek 7 is the Wildcard. There are plenty of fixture swings to navigate in the coming weeks and many FPL managers my feel like it could be best to activate the chip.
