Expert Differentials for Gameweek 6

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at some FPL expert differentials for Gameweek 6. At the same time @FBLThinker, @FPL_ElStatto, @FplRabbi, @FplShakenbake and @FPLReaction battle it to see who can earn the title ‘Differential King’.

Differentials are players who have low ownership. This means that if those players are successful then they could significantly boost both your rank and mini-league position. This is exactly why differentials are such an important part of the game.

Note: All ownership stats are likely to change.

@FPL_ElStatto

“Darwin Nunez – 2.4% – Liverpool – £7.2m – Darwin took his opportunity against Bournemouth returning with a goal. While he’ll only get 60-70 mins I expect Liverpool to go with the same attacking trio away to Wolves. Wolves have conceded the most goals this season averaging three a game, so I’m hoping Nunez will get a few chances this week too”.

@FplRabbi

“Antoine Semenyo – 7.6% – Bournemouth – £5.6m – Semenyo has been looking great since the start of the season, having 20+ shots in five difficult games. This next match might be the perfect opportunity to get him in, as Southampton will probably give more than a few chances when trying to play from the back”.

@FplShakenbake

“Gabriel Martinelli – 2% – Arsenal – £6.9m – The Brazilian had his best game of the season on Sunday, and with Trossard suspended and Odegaard injured, his place in the starting line up looks nailed. Add in a home fixture against a newly promoted side and Nelli could go big this week”.

@FBLThinker

“Chris Wood – 8.6% – Nottingham Forest – £6.1m – Wood has scored in his last two matches and is also on penalties for Forest. They play Fulham at home which is a fixture that I could see goals and expect Wood to get some attacking returns”.

@FPLReaction

“Raul Jimenez – 1.7% – Fulham – £5.4m – Interestingly Nottingham Forest have conceded in both of their home matches so far this season whilst also failing to win any of them. One of several players who could benefit this week is Jimenez. The Mexican goes into the game with goals in his last two matches and with Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traore supplying him I think he could add to his overall tally”.

Gameweek 5 Scoring

  • @FPL_ElStatto – He put forward Jamie Vardy as his differential last week. Leicester drew their match to Everton 1-1 but Vardy failed to contribute and so finished on just two points.
  • @FplRabbi – Ipswich’s Liam Delap was his pick in Gameweek 5. Ipswich also drew their match 1-1 and Delap couldn’t get involved in the goal. His yellow card also meant he collected just one point.
  • @FplShakenbake – Jhon Duran played just 28 minutes of his Gameweek 5 match. But, in fine fashion he scored in his third consecutive league game on the bounce which helped him to five points.
  • @FBLThinker – He went for Son Heung-Min last week. Spurs dismantled Brentford 3-1 in Gameweek 5 and Son mustered up two assists which landed him a huge 10 points.
  • @FPLReaction – Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin failed to continue his form during the 1-1 draw against Leicester. Because of this he fell well short with just two points last week.

Overall Scoring

  • 1st – @FplRabbi – 36 points
  • 2nd – @FBLThinker – 35 points
  • 3rd –  @FPL_ElStatto – 32 points
  • 4th – @FplShakenbake – 23 points
  • 5th – @FPLReaction – 19 points
