FPL Gameweek 6 Best Differentials

Last modified date

The Premier League is approaching so we take a look at the FPL Gameweek 6 best differentials. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we utilise the fixture ticker and underlying stats to pick out some of the best players with low ownership.

Our FPL Gameweek 6 best differentials could give you a much needed boost to start the new season. Differentials are players who have low ownership. If those players are successful then it could both rank and mini-league position.

Leon Bailey – 1.4% Ownership

Aston Villa have started their season better than expected. Since losing their match against Arsenal Unai Emery’s men have won four matches on the bounce in all competitions, scoring between 2-3 goals in all of their games.

Only Manchester City can match Aston Villa for big chances total so far, which is good metric to highlight when considering Ipswich rank joint worst for big chances conceded. A different route into the attack is midfielder Leon Bailey (£6.4m). The Jamaican managed double digits for both goals and assists last season and could be raring to go after recently recovering from injury.

Antoine Semenyo – 6.9% Ownership

Bournemouth will be hoping to bounce back after back-to-back losses in their last two matches. The Cherries have a good opportunity to do exactly that as they come up against a Southampton side who sit joint worst for big chances conceded with several other sides.

Feeling emboldened with a home fixture Antoine Semenyo (£5.6m) could be keen to add to the three returns he picked up in his first three matches of the season. When compared to every other midfielder in the game Semenyo ranks top for total attempts on goal, proving he is a constant threat.

Chris Wood – 8% Ownership

Another side who have started the season better than expected is Nottingham Forest. As well as remaining unbeaten in the league the Reds have scored in all five of their matches. Fulham lay ahead next, a side who are yet to claim a single clean sheet this season.

Nottingham Forest have plenty of attacking options but the one that stands out the most is striker Chris Wood (£6.1m). With three goals so far, a goal in every other game, Wood spearheads an attack rich in pacey creators on either wing. Penalty duty could also be his to lose now after taking and converting one in his previous match.

Dwight McNeil – 2.7% Ownership

Everton are coming into a lovely period of fixtures. The Toffees have been far from consistent but with goals in each of their last three matches they still hold plenty of attacking threat. A home match against a Crystal Palace side who are yet to win a game this season lays ahead.

Whilst many flock to penalty taker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, those needing a midfield option could select Dwight McNeil (£5.4m). McNeil has already picked up a goal and two assists this season and with a share of set pieces at his disposal he could well add to that this week. His creativity is well and truly going under the radar as he sits second best for expected assists when compared to every other midfielder.

James Maddison – 4.4% Ownership

Manchester United are their next stop after edging Brentford 3-1 in their recent match. Spurs haven’t been at their best either this season but if your a fan of history knowing they have scored at least two goals against their upcoming opposition in five of their last six head-to-heads could draw you in.

Son Heung-Min remains one of their main options in attack but James Maddison (7.5m) seems to be settling in nicely this season. The Englishman has produced an impressive four returns in his first five matches and his underlying data backs him to continue that form. In fact, he ranks first amongst all midfielders for expected assists so far.
