Expert Differentials for Gameweek 5
In this article we take a look at some FPL expert differentials for Gameweek 5. At the same time @FBLThinker, @FPL_ElStatto, @FplRabbi, @FplShakenbake and @FPLReaction battle it to see who can earn the title ‘Differential King’.
Differentials are players who have low ownership. This means that if those players are successful then they could significantly boost both your rank and mini-league position. This is exactly why differentials are such an important part of the game.
Note: All ownership stats are likely to change.
@FPL_ElStatto
“Jamie Vardy – 7.9% – Leicester – £5.7m – Evergreen Vardy has two goals already this season. Everton have conceded at least three in each game so far this season so I’m backing Vardy against the leakiest defence so far”.
@FplRabbi
“Liam Delap – 1% – Ipswich – £5.5m – Unfortunately, for the Saints, Southampton are the team to target at the moment. Delap looks lively, I think he will get chances in this game”.
@FplShakenbake
“John Duran – 2.1% – Aston Villa – £6m – With goals off the bench in his last two appearances, and Villa back in Champions League action this week, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Duran start against a struggling Wolves side, and continue his impressive start to the season”.
@FBLThinker
“Son Heung-Min – 8% – Aston Villa – £10m – Playing at home against Brentford who have conceded four goals in their two away matches, the matchup looks favourable for Spurs and I think Son could get some attacking returns”.
@FPLReaction
“Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 3% – Everton – £5.9m – Everton have a good opportunity to win this week with a game against Leicester. Although awful defensively the Toffees have proven they can score goals and amongst them recently is penalty taker Calvert-Lewin”.
Gameweek 4 Scoring
- @FPL_ElStatto – He opted for Kaoru Mitoma last week. Although in form going into the tie both he and his side failed to find the net. The 0-0 draw meant Mitoma finished with just three points.
- @FplRabbi – He banked a whopping 13 points for his differential last week. Producing this haul was Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta who scored twice against Leicester.
- @FplShakenbake – Andreas Pereira of Fulham was his selection in Gameweek 4. Fulham and West Ham drew their match 1-1 but Pereira couldn’t contribute to the Fulham goal meaning he ended the game with three points.
- @FBLThinker – He opted for Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh. As mentioned Brighton failed to score in Gameweek 3 and that meant Minteh returned just two points.
- @FPLReaction – Nicolas Jackson flopped to just one point against Bournemouth last week. Because of this and his yellow card Jackson bagged just one point.
Overall Scoring
