- In goal, I’ve gone with Brad Guzan on the front end of my ‘keeperoo. While Atlanta have been a real Jekyll and Hyde team this season, their opponents this week, Nashville, have struggled for goals all year. In fact they have scored the fewest goals in the league and recording the fourth-worst xGF in the process.
- One of Yohei Takaoka or whoever starts for Seattle will be my fallback goalie. Stefan Frei (who looks to be out of concussion protocol) is currently getting the nod.
- In defence, I’ve paired Guzan and Frei with Brooks Lennon and Jackson Ragen. Ranko Veselinović also makes my team, with Vancouver facing a San Jose team who have only fared slightly better in front of goal than Nashville. With few standout clean sheet chances this week, my remaining defensive picks are bonus point plays. Jordi Alba continues to rack up attacking returns from left back, while Micael has only failed to record a passing bonus on six occasions this season .
- Round 25 hat-trick hero Albert Rusnák and bonus point magnet Héctor Herrera were among the first names in my team, as was Ryan Gauld given the San Jose matchup. Đorđe Mihailović has recorded five double-digit Fantasy hauls in his last nine MLS starts and has an obliging home matchup against Portland in Round 26. Much has been made of Riqui Puig’s inability to create in recent matches against LAFC. However, I’m backing Puig to break his duck in this weekend’s El Tráfico, with the LA Galaxy playmaker taking the last midfield spot in my team.
- El Tráfico usually produces plenty of goals, so Denis Bouanga and Gabriel Pec – who has put up some monster scores at home – also make my team. Like El Tráfico, the Hell is Real derby between Cincinnati and Columbus should also be a high-scoring affair. While Cucho Hernández has been somewhat subdued since Leagues Cup, I’m expecting him to return big against a creaking Cincinnati defence. Of course, this could all change should a certain Inter Miami forward return to the fold this weekend…

- I’m starting off with tripling up on the Atlanta United defence. Nashville have been so so so so bad, that even Atlanta should hold a CS against them. Lennon is starting because of his attacking potential, but Guzan and Amador are hanging on my bench.
- We have two big rivalry games this weekend, Hell is Real and El Trafico. For Hell is Real coverage, I have Cucho and Lucho on my bench. I am considering Rossi too, but I also want to have El Trafico coverage in Bouanga and Pec.
- The next best CS chance is with Houston, which is why I have Escobar, and potentially Seattle. I expect SKC to score on Seattle. But, the timing of the Sunday game makes them an easy fall back to use with Frei and Ragen.
- For the starting midfielders, I have Puig for more El Trafico coverage, Hartel who is against a leaky Minnestoa team at best, and Rusnak who should dominate against SKC. I have the armband on Gauld because of his recent form and the fact that San Jose is an awful defensive team who are now without Gruezo in midfield. Vancouver should create a ridiculous amount of chances.

- It’s a mostly normal round with no doubles and FC Dallas on Bye this week.
- Seattle with the match on Sunday means three in with an option to scrub. I can promote the Dallas players if needed.
- CLT have conceded in both matches with Ream so hoping they bounce back and take three on the road with a clean sheet.
- I can see LA vs LAFC being a high scoring game but will be watching for line-ups.
- My captain is Paintsil for now.

- MID: Evander (POR: 17.2 M); Evander is high for shots in the last couple of games and has a decent matchup this week vs Colorado Rapids . He is a given in my line-up after five goals and seven assists in his last eight games.
- MID: Marcel Hartel (STL; 10.8m); Marcel Hartel recorded one goal and three assists since his debut, making an outstanding start and should be a good option again this week.
- FWD: Cucho Hernández (CLB; 13.6m): Cucho Hernández has been unstoppable this season. He scored 17 points in his recent DGW and has scored nine goals in his last 10 starts.
- Cucho, Diego Rossi, and Christian Ramirez, the attacking trio for the Crew all should be considered for the line-up this week.
