Notes
- Transfers OUT – Müller, Schlotterbeck, Strobl, Daschner, Brandt, Stöger, Olise and Kramarić.
- Transfers IN – Labrović, Chase, Banks, Simons, Wirtz, Grifo, Groß and Openda.
- Formation: 3-5-2.
- GK – Labrović (5m – FCA) – Until Augsburg boss Jess Thorup says he’s not their number one Labrović will remain my number one.
- DEF – (STAR) Grimaldo (20m – B04), Chase (1m – VFB) and Ritzka (5m – STP) – A cheap pairing alongside perma-cap Grimaldo to facilitate a pricy midfield and forward line.
- MID – Wirtz (20m – B04), Grifo (12m – SCF), Groß (11m – BVB), (STAR) Musiala (20m – FCB) and Simons (17m – RBL) – Over half of my total budget goes into the midfield where I feel there is the most value for money. A big shake up sees four new faces come in. The star remains on Musiala one more week with the best fixture.
- FOR – Openda (15m – RBL) and (STAR) Kane (20m – FCB) – A pairing that screams goals and a hat-trick each with their respective games, right?
- BENCH – Phillipp (1m – TSG), Theuerkauf (1m – HDH), Banks (1m – FCA) and Breunig (1m – HDH) – Augsburg’s Banks comes as bench fodder until I need someone who’ll start instead of Chase.
- I have 0m in the bank.

- It’s the first unlimited transfer period of the season and after only two GWs it’s hard to know the exact strategy we should be targeting. As noted previously, it’s a battle of explosiveness vs consistency and in my current draft I’ve tried to balance the both.
- GK: I am sticking with Labrovic for now whilst he’s still nailed as the cheapest first choice goalkeeper.
- DEF: Grimaldo is a must. Weiser is my explosive punt who will be Schlotterbeck once back from suspension. Smith (if fit) and Kubler act as cheap enablers with a decent floor.
- MID: Wirtz has been my main performer in the first two weeks so he is nailed for me unless we see UCL rotation. Simons in the same boat. Stach, Gross and Stoger offer a high floor with potential for upside.
- I am still uncertain on the 451. But, I think for now I’m happy to just back Kane.

Notes
- Last week I secured a top 50 rank and stayed in 39th.
- This week we have unlimited transfers so I did Kane, Schlotterbeck, Ogbus, Demirovic, Theurkauff, Xhaka to Wirtz, Raum, Ritzka, Masovic, Openda, Adamu.
- I have gone without Kane which is a huge risk, instead, I tried to strengthen the bench.
- Red cards or less points can be decisive for getting ranks, I now have five playing defenders, three strong midfielders and two average assets. I also have Openda (if he blanks Breunig and Adamu await).
