The 2024/25 Champions League draw is hugely important for UCL Fantasy managers. The schedule can help with planning transfers, captaincy and chips, so lets dive in!
Pot 1
All eyes will be on Real Madrid as they try to defend their latest Champions League trophy. The Spanish giants face four tricky ties against the 23/24 Champions League finalists Dortmund , 23/24 Super Cup Finalists Atalanta, Liverpool and Milan.
Manchester City are another side who go into the competition as one of the few big favourites. Their opposition includes the 23/24 Serie A Champions Inter, 23/24 France league Champions PSG and Juventus.
We can also see the fixtures of teams including Bayern, PSG, Liverpool, Inter, Dortmund, Leipzig and Barcelona.
Pot 2
Pot 2 also holds a lot of excitement. 23/24 Bundesliga Champions Leverkusen went unbeaten throughout their campaign last season so they will naturally draw a lot of attention. However, they face some challenging fixtures against the likes of Inter, Liverpool, Milan and Atelti.
Arsenal could be another hopeful side after challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title last season. They come up against PSG, Inter, Atalanta, Sporting and Monaco, along with several others.
Pot 2 also includes Atleti, Atalanta, Benfica, Juventus, Club Brugge, Shakhtar and Milan.
Pot 3
23/24 Dutch Champions PSV could be one to watch this season. They could be pushed to their limit as they clash with Liverpool, PSG, Juventus, Sporting and Girona.
Topping the Liga Portugal Betclic in 23/24 was Sporting CP. The Portuguese side have a very difficult schedule with meetings against Manchester City, Leipzig, Arsenal, Lille, PSV and Bologna.
Pot 3 also includes Feyenoord, GNK Dinamo, Salzburg, Lille, Crvena Zvezda, Young Boys, and Celtic.
Pot 4
After several decades of absence Aston Villa return to the Champions League. The English side impressed in the Premier League last season after finishing fourth. But, with matches against Bayern, Leipzig, Juventus, Bologna and Monaco ahead, they may have to do that once more.
Another side many were surprised by last season is La Liga’ Girona. Girona have a torrid schedule against Liverpool, PSG, Arsenal, Milan, Feyenoord and PSV so they will need to be at their very best.
Pot 4 also houses SK Slovan Bratislava, Monaco, Sparta Praha, Bologna, Stuttgart, Sturm Graz and Brest.
