Serie A Fantasy Round 3 Top Picks

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 3 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the second round of campaign.

It isn’t long before the new Gameweek commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. Getting off to a good start in every fantasy game is important for both rank and mini-league position.

Goalkeepers – Michele Di Gregorio (€6.0m – 15.2%)

Round 3 is full of big teams facing each other. But, I would still suggest fully trusting the Juventus backline. They are yet to concede a single goal, and face a Roma side struggling to score goals in the round ahead.

Pietro Terracciano (€5.0m – 5.7%)

De Gea is still trying to get back to full form, with coach Palladino momentarily relegating him to Cup matches. Despite Fiorentina underperforming, Terracciano is still second for points in the game, and he will do his best to keep his starting spot.

Defenders – Sebastiano Luperto (€5.0m – 1.7%)

Cagliari have started their season pretty well from a defensive point of view, keeping a clean sheet vs Roma and only conceding to Como from a set piece. Luperto is a solid choice against Lecce who are yet to score.

Saul Coco (€4.4m – 3.6%)

Torino impressed a lot in the first two games against top opponents like Milan and Atalanta. And similar to every single season they seem to have a future gem at CB, with Saul Coco looking to replicate the paths of Bremer and Buongiorno before him. The early kick-off on Friday against Venezia could bring him the first full clean sheet of the season.

Midfielders – Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€11.2m – 33.4%) or Dennis Man (€5.6m – 15.5%)

Prepare for trouble, make it double. Napoli and Parma were Amazing in Round 2, dispatching Bologna and Milan respectively. Both players are fast paced and creative wingers, and despite Napoli having the homefield advantage (and the higher roster quality), I really feel it could go either way. Both are amazing, choose your fighter.

Florian Thauvin (€5.8m – 4.0%)

I just noticed that the French striker is listed as a midfielder this season, and after last week’s impressive haul, I’m kind of tempted by him, especially now when he faces newly promoted Como while Alexis Sanchez (who could steal him some minutes) is out injured.

Forwards – Duvan Zapata (€8.0m – 11.2%)

I’ve already talked about Torino in this article so I won’t repeat myself too much. Zapata has played very well in both games, and despite Che Adams outscoring him, I feel like the Colombian has a much higher celling against Venezia.

Valentin Castellanos (€6.8m – 14.0%)

Milan only managed to get one point in the first two Rounds, with their defence looking fragile to say the least. Although I wouldn’t buy Castellanos just for the sake of this match, he still feels like a more than optimal option if you have him. He also allows managers a way other than Zaccagni into Lazio’s attack, as their fixtures are way above average long term.
