Rounds 1-6
Teams with the Best Fixtures
Roma sit top of the fixture ticker from Rounds 1-6. They come up against Cagliari, Empoli, Juventus, Genoa, Udinese and Venezia. Four of the six sides they face are expected to struggle in the campaign ahead which makes investing in Roma an interesting proposition.
One side hoping to make their upcoming campaign a much better one than last season is Lazio. Lazio open their fixture list with a tie against newly promoted side Venezia in Round 1. Other than a tough match against Milan, Lazio will fancy themselves against Udinese, Verona, Fiorentina and Torino.
After winning Serie A in 22/23 Napoli crashed into 10th place last season. However, they have a good set of starting fixtures against Verona, Parma, Cagliari and Monza to bounce back in the season ahead. The games against Bologna and Juventus however could prove tricky.
23/24 Europa winners Atalanta and Juventus are also amongst the sides with good starting schedules in the new campaign.
Teams with the Worst Fixtures
Venezia may have done well to win promotion from Serie B but they their start to 23/24 couldn’t get much worse. They have meetings with Lazio, Fiorentina, Torino, Milan, Genoa and Roma and there is little hope they can claim a win in any.
Another side many managers could look to avoid in terms of investment is Verona. Verona seem to have maintained there position as a lower half side over the years so it won’t be easy for them facing Napoli, Juventus, Genoa, Lazio and Torino in their first five games.
Empoli finished just one point above the relegation zone last season and they could end up there early on this time around. In fact, with matches against the likes of Monza, Roma, Bologna, Juventus and Fiorentina in the first six, it may be difficult for them to get any points on the board at all.
Also amongst the bottom five teams with the worst fixtures are Udinese and Lecce who both finished between 15th-20th place in Serie A last season.
