The first clash of the round comes between Germany and Spain. The hosts swept aside Denmark in their round of 16 fixture 2-0 and Spain blitzed their way past Georgia in a 4-1 win to confirm their place. Both sides have arguably been the most convincing in the tournament so far and the winner faces either Portugal or France in the semi-finals.

On the same day as above Portugal clash with France. Both sides squeezed their way into the quarterfinals – France edged Belgium 1-0 where-as it took Portugal 120 minutes and a penalty shootout to progress. Germany or Spain lay ahead for either side which could be an even tougher task.

Netherlands comfortably beat their round of 16 opponent. The Dutch put three goals past Romania in their most recent match but it was their overall performance that caught they eye. They come up against Türkiye next up who impressively dumped Austria out with a 2-1 victory which was a tight affair. The winner of this tie faces a meeting with either England or Switzerland.

Another side who rode their luck were England after scoring a last gasp equaliser in the 95th minute. That was followed up by a goal in extra time which eventually helped them into the quarter-finals. They have a fixture against a Switzerland side who have impressed for most of the campaign. They also beat Italy comfortably in the round of 16 with their 2-0 win. Either England or Switzerland face Netherlands or Türkiye in the next round.
