Serie A Fantasy Round 32 Expert Team Reveal
Here we bring in one of our regular contributors and seasoned managers to provide you with his Serie A Fantasy Round 32 expert team reveal. @FplRossoneri is back to reveal his team and share his plans around transfers and captaincy.
With Serie A Fantasy Round 32 on the horizon it could be hugely beneficial to catch up with our expert. His knowledge and decisions could be extremely enlightening to other fantasy managers. This same knowledge could help bring clarity to some of the choices we have to make in our own teams.
Introduction
Welcome to my Serie A Fantasy Round 32 expert team reveal. Here, I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW.
Now, let us look at my GW31 team first. I ended up with 78 points with a GW average of 64 points, It was a small green arrow that took me from 335th to 287th worldwide and still 3rd in Germany after GW31. Osimhen, Posch, and Bremer were the main contributors, along with my captain Theo who scored 14 points with the armband.
Looking ahead to GW32 we have some nice fixtures for teams like Inter, Napoli, and Lazio.
Round 32 Team Reveal (subject to change)
Goalkeeper
- Yann Sommer (€5.8m) – Sommer is back in goal yet again as Turati plays Napoli away. Inter also have a great matchup vs. Cagliari at the San Siro. Sommer remains atop the list of GKs with the most points after GW31 with 11 double-digit hauls to boast. Inter have yet another easy fixture on paper playing Cagliari who are dreadful away from home in GW32. So, I expect them to come away with a win and Sommer getting some good points. He is still only owned by 28% of managers and if you are still looking for a solid GK until the end of the season then Sommer is your guy.
Defenders
- Gleison Bremer (€6m) – My first defender in GW32 will be Bremer from Juventus. He still sits at the top of the defenders list with the most points with 225. Juventus have the Turin Derby della Molle coming up with city rivals Torino and I expect that to be a low-scoring affair. In the recent fixtures, they have been in relegation form but finally showed up and beat Fiorentina 1-0 in GW31. So, the hope is that they continue with some of this newfound form in the coming games.
- Theo Hernandez (€7.2m) – Theo only has five goals and three assists so far but he’s again coming into form from the last few seasons. Milan will be playing Sassuolo in GW32 and you can never count out Theo from getting a goal or assist along with the potential of a clean sheet given the abysmal form Sassuolo are in at the moment.
- Stefan Posch (€4.6m) – My third defender will be Stefan Posch who was one of the transfer-ins a few weeks ago. Posch showed some of his form from last season grabbing an assist and keeping two CS’s in DGW24. He also came up trump with a 10-pointer in GW31. Bologna have a decent fixture in GW32 playing Monza at home, thus I do expect a good points return from him in GW32.
Midfielders
- Riccardo Orsolini (€8m) – My first midfielder this GW will be Orsolini from Bologna who came into the team as a late transfer last week. Orsolini is another one of those players who has thrived under Thiago Motta’s tutelage this season getting 10 goals and two assists so far. As mentioned earlier, Bologna have a great game in GW32 vs Monza and I am hoping that Orsolini has an instant impact on my Serie A Fantasy team.
- Albert Gudmundsson (€6.2m) – Gudmundsson has been one of the league’s revelations this year with 12 goals and three assist in just 31 games for Genoa. He sits first now in the most points list for midfielders in Serie A Fantasy and at just 6.2M, he is an absolute bargain. Genoa will be playing Fiorentina in GW32 and the hope is Gudmundsson will again get something out of the game in terms of Fantasy points.
- Teun Koopmeiners (€7.6m) – Similar to Gundmundsson, Koopmeiners is having one of his best seasons at Atalanta this year. So far he has managed 11 goals and three assists in just 26 starts. Atalanta will be facing Verona in GW32 and given his form I do expect some kind of fantasy return.
- Nico Gonzalez (€6.4m) – One of the most annoying (from a fantasy perspective) yet talented players is Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina. He has seven goals and two assists in just 1531 mins of action. Fiorentina have a decent fixture when they face Genoa at home and I do expect goals in this game and Nico will hopefully be involved in some capacity.
- Morten Frendrup (€4.6M) – My cheap enabler is Frendrup. He now has racked up 161 TBIs in just 31 games which is the highest in the league by 41 TBIs. Frendrup will be up against Fiorentina in GW32. So, I expect a load of TBI points again at the very least. He is also one of the few MIDs who has played almost every minute of the season.
Forwards
- Oliver Giroud (€9m) – My first playing forward for GW32 will be Oliver Giroud. Giroud now has 13 goals and eight assists in 29 starts for Milan. He was on the score sheet again in GW31 after five games of not scoring when Milan faced Lecce at home. I do expect he keeps his scoring spree going until the end of the season. If rumours are correct, this might be Giroud’s last season playing for the Rossoneri. He plans to move to MLS starting next season so I can only expect that he will give his all to end the season strong.
- Victor Osimhen (€12.6M) – Last but by no means least, my second forward for this week is Osimhen who is fully back in form now with six goals and two assists in his last 9 games. He was on the scoresheet in GW31 against Monza with a giant leap and bullet header. Napoli will play Frosinone in GW32. So, I do expect him to go big. In just 18 starts this season Osimhen has 12 goals and three assists and could be a great option for GW32.
Captaincy
At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Victor Osimhen for reasons I have mentioned above. Koopmeiners is also in the running for captaincy as things stand.
