Significant Fixture Swings in Gameweek 30

In this article we dive into the schedule and highlight the significant fixture swings in Gameweek 30. To do this we head over to the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area and utilise its fantastic fixture ticker. We also use the underlying data available over there to determine which teams are worth focusing on.

Checking out the significant fixture swings in Gameweek 30 could be vital towards transfer, captaincy and chip planning. Fixture swings can be both positive and negative. Teams with a positive fixture swing could be worth investing in whilst teams with a negative fixture swing could be worth avoiding.

Liverpool

Liverpool are one of several teams transitioning from a bad set of fixtures to a good one. The Reds played Manchester City in Gameweek 28 then did not have a fixture in Gameweek 29. This means that many within the community decided to ditch their assets.

However, Brighton, Sheffield United, Manchester United and Crystal Palace lay ahead and then they are also very likely to double in Gameweek 34.

Liverpool currently rank in the top two teams for both goals scored and clean sheets kept so far, which combined with the fixtures, makes their assets extremely appealing looking ahead.

Chelsea

Chelsea are another side going into a positive fixture swing. Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester City are three teams the Blues have had to face in their last six matches, a run many would have chose to avoid.

As we can see, in the next four matches Chelsea have meetings with Manchester United and Everton, but more importantly, two of the three promoted sides, Burnley and Sheffield United.

Another huge appeal when it comes to the Chelsea schedule is that they also have a good chance of playing two Double Gameweeks before the end of the season.

Newcastle

Newcastle have had it tough recently in terms of schedule. In their last four Gameweeks the Magpies have had a Blank Gameweek and come up against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, both of which they lost against.

Similar to Liverpool and Chelsea, Newcastle are also coming into a favourable run of fixtures. They face meetings with West Ham, Everton, Sheffield United and Burnley in their next eight Gameweeks.

Some may be slightly concerned that Newcastle are shown to have Blank Gameweek in Gameweek 34, but that isn’t correct, they are in fact very likely to play either Crystal Palace or Manchester United. They also have a likely Double Gameweek in 37 which boosts their overall appeal.

Aston Villa

We now switch our attention to negative fixture swings. Aston Villa have recently played matches against the likes of Luton, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Fulham in their last six but their upcoming schedule could be problematic for owners.

Now, although Villa have matches against Wolves and Brentford they also play two of the best three teams in the country. If that wasn’t enough to put managers off they also do not have any Double Gameweeks coming up.

Luton

Luton have been an extremely popular side to invest in recently. The Hatters haven’t just played Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield United in their last eight matches but they have also had two Double Gameweeks and played in Blank Gameweek 29.

The Luton schedule now changes dramatically as they come up against Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester City in the next four Gameweeks.

The schedule above is rough for Luton assets but what’s worse is that they also do not have a Double Gameweek for the remainder of the season.
