Best Differentials to Buy After the Break
In this article we take a look at some of the best differentials to buy after the break. To do this week check out player ownership using the Official Fantasy Premier League site and utilise the tools from the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area.
Looking at the best differentials to buy after the break could be a significant turning point in your fantasy season. Whilst FPL managers all flock to similar assets, those that want to gain rank and an edge over their rivals could look to differentials.
Rodrigo Muniz – 4% Ownership
Firstly price-tags could be super important to how we set up our teams moving forward. The heavy cost of assets like Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Mohamed Salah, Ollie Watkins and Son Heung-Min are making it very difficult to fit all the players we want in. However that may not be an issue with our next pick as he comes in at just £4.6m.
In terms of form Fulham have been impressive – winning four of their last six league matches. In the same period they also netted 13 goals. This makes the Cottagers very appealing when it comes to offensive investment.
The fixtures look lovely in the next four Gameweeks as you can tell. Fulham face four teams who have been extremely inconsistent recently from a defensive perspective.
Leading the Fulham attack recently is Rodrigo Muniz. The 22-year-old Brazilian has started the last eight matches in all competitions for his side. This suggests that he could be reliable for gametime moving forward.
It’s worth mentioning that Muniz has been excellent since filling in up front – scoring a huge seven goals and registering one assist.
Kai Havertz – 2.9% Ownership
Arsenal reign at the top of the Premier League going into the international break. That is no surprise as their recent form has been utterly relentless – winning all of their last six matches on the bounce.
Every league match for Arsenal feels like an opportunity for them to rack up a bundle of goals. This thinking comes mainly from the fact that they have racked up a massive 26 goals in the same six-match period as above.
The upcoming fixtures are interesting for Arsenal. The Gooners face Manchester City next up and then have meetings with Luton, Brighton and Aston Villa.
What we can’t see from the schedule above is that Arsenal are also likely to have a Double Gameweek in 34. This means that they could face six games in the next five Gameweeks.
Although categorised as a midfielder in the game Kai Havertz (£7.2m) has started the last four matches in a strikers role. This of course makes him much more appealing as midfielders gain an extra point for each goal and a clean sheet kept.
The German international has been fantastic recently – collecting three double-digit hauls in the same four starts as above. His 47 points came from an impressive four goals and three assists.
Nicolas Jackson – 4.4% Ownership
Although seemingly empty at the beginning of the campaign, the strikers pool seems to be flooded with lots of options now. The likes of Erling Haaland, Darwin Nunez, Ollie Watkins and Dominic Solanke seem to be at the forefront of FPL managers plans.
The above shows that backing a different striker would mean backing against the most popular pick. This is necessary when trying to gain rank and with that in mind we head to Chelsea.
Although inconsistent Chelsea have some attractive fixtures ahead. We can see that they face Burnley, Manchester United, Sheffield United and Everton, two of the three newly promoted sides.
The fixtures above could mean massive potential for the Chelsea attack and leading the frontline is Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m). Jackson has an edge on the popular strikers above due to being much cheaper.
Recent form also backs Jackson after securing a return in all three of his last matches. He also has promising data this season – ranking amongst the four strikers mentioned above at the top for non-penalty expected goal involvement.
Luis Diaz – 9.5% Ownership
Liverpool will be hoping they can stay with title contenders Arsenal and Manchester City and form shows that they have the quality to do that. In fact, the Reds won five of their last six matches and netted 14 goals in the process.
Buying into the Liverpool attack could be crucial as they maintain some of the best underlying offensive data in the league. However, their fixtures are also very appealing.
What the ticker above doesn’t show is that Liverpool are also very likely to have a Double Gameweek against both Fulham and Everton.
An alternative route into the relentless Liverpool attack is via midfielder Luis Diaz (£7.5m). Diaz has started the last eight league matches on the bounce for Liverpool, becoming a hugely important figure in the side recently.
In the eight-match period above Diaz produced six returns with the help of four goals and two assists. His recent form is also backed up by his recent data – ranking above every other player in the game for non-penalty expected goal involvement in the last six matches.
