FPL: Teams with the Worst Fixtures after the Break

The international break is here and FPL doesn’t return until March 30th. However in this article we look at the schedule ahead and pick out teams with the worst fixtures after the break. To do that we head over to the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area to use some of its fantastic tools.

With Double and Blank Gameweeks coming up it could be hugely beneficial to check out the teams with the worst fixtures after the break. Knowing which teams to avoid can help with factors like transfers, captaincy and chip strategy.

Luton

Luton have been a very frustrating side for FPL managers recently. This is mainly due to their performances in recent double Gameweeks. The fact Luton have had extra fixtures recently when compared to other sides means that a lot of their players have high ownership amongst the most experienced managers.

However, now may be the time to start offloading Luton assets. As we can see the Hatters come up against Tottenham, Arsenal, Bournemouth and Manchester City in the next four Gameweeks.

All of the above teams have proven themselves both defensively and offensively at times so could pose real issues for how much potential the Luton players have.

Another note we have to highlight is that Luton are one of few teams that do not have a Double Gameweek coming up.

Brighton

Brighton are an interesting side to focus on in FPL at the moment. Their recent Europa exit could suggest that they may limit how much their players are rotated moving forward.

The Seagulls have been inconsistent this season and we can see that in their recent results – losing two, winning two and drawing one of their last five matches. In that period they also failed to scored in three of their games and kept just two clean sheets.

The issues with Brighton in their upcoming matches is they play two of the top three teams in the league, Arsenal and Liverpool. Both sides have maintained some of the best defensive and offensive stats all season.

Another issue is that Brighton are very likely to Blank in Gameweek 34, when other teams are Doubling. So, they take their place amongst teams with the worst fixtures after the break.

However, opinions of how attractive Brighton are for investors could change after the above as they are very likely to Double twice, once in Gameweek 35 and once in Gameweek 37.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa seem to have hit a mini-blip in their season recently – winning just one in their last two matches in all competitions. That may be the case but they have been one of the best teams to invest in from a offensive point of view recently.

The above may change as we approach their next set of fixtures. We can see that Aston Villa are one of few teams that face two of the top three sides. Manchester City and Arsenal have been two of the best defences in the league this season which of course limits how much potential the Aston Villa assets have.

Another factor worth considering is that Aston Villa do not have a Double Gameweek like other teams. That and the fixtures above could suggest focusing elsewhere may be beneficial.

Brentford

Brentford, similar to Aston Villa, also have quiet an awkward schedule. The Bees have been extremely poor recently – losing a huge five of their last six matches, conceding 15 goals and scoring seven goals.

Manchester United, Brighton, and Aston Villa are three of the four teams they face who could cause them serious issues in terms of limiting their potential.

Brentford face awkward matches ahead but another reason they could be worth avoiding is they also do not have a Double Gameweek ahead like other teams.
