Fixture ticker
Below we can see that the fixtures ticker covers the next five Gameweeks (from Gameweek 28-32).
Double Gameweek 28
Gameweek 28 is a Double Gameweek for both Bournemouth and Luton. This is something we will have to take into consideration when building a Wildcard.
Blank Gameweek 29
Only eight times play in Gameweek 29. Those teams include Luton, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham, Fulham, Burnley, Brentford, Aston Villa and West Ham. This also something we have to consider when it comes to making a good Wildcard team.
Who has the best fixtures?
Luton, Bournemouth, Fulham, Tottenham and Burnley all rank amongst the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.
Who has the worst fixtures?
Manchester City, Brighton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton all rank amongst the bottom five teams with the worst fixtures.
Gameweek 28 Best Wildcard Team
This Wildcard would give managers six doublers in Double Gameweek 28, 10 players for Blank Gameweek 29 with the plan to bring an 11th in ahead of the round and £10m in the bank to make upgrades looking ahead.
Goalkeepers
Bournemouth face a Double Gameweek against two poor promoted sides next so it could be worth bringing in Neto (£4.6m). Neto kept a clean sheet against another promoted side, Burnley, in their most recent game and has two attempts to rake in points this week.
Backing up Neto on the bench is West Ham’ Alphonse Areola (£4.2m). Unlike Neto, Areola has a fixture in the big Blank in Gameweek 29.
Defenders
The uncertainty in the Bournemouth midfield and lack of options suggests backing the Bournemouth double up at the back a safe move. One of the safest routes into the Cherries defence in terms of minutes is Illia Zabarnyi (£4.4m).
Luton also have a Double Gameweek and their standout option is Alfie Doughty (£4.7m). Doughty dominates several distribution metrics amongst defenders and has also managed a huge nine attacking returns already this season.
The Arsenal defence is superior to every other team in the league so far. With that in mind and the lack of good defensive options at the moment, Gabriel (£5.3m) could be a very good long-term hold. He also has huge attacking threat – scoring three goals in his last seven matches.
On the bench and both with good attacking threat is West Ham’ Emerson (£4.4m) who scored and assisted in a recent match and Tottenham’ Destiny Udogie (£4.9m) who has had more touches in the oppositions box than any other defender so far this season. Both players also play in Blank Gameweek 29.
Midfielders
West Ham face Burnley this week, then a fixture in Gameweek 29 and a great schedule long-term. Because of this and their newly found offensive form Jarrod Bowen (£7.9m) has huge potential looking ahead. Since the return of Lucas Paqueta, Bowen has scored three goals and created one assist in his last two matches.
Luton’ Double Gameweek against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth could be a good one to attack. Their standout midfield option is Ross Barkley (£5m). Barkley has been exceptional for Luton this season and managed five returns in his last 10 matches.
Tottenham have a fixture against Aston Villa this week, a match in the Blank Gameweek and a great schedule long-term. Because of that Son Heung-Min (£9.8m) could have good potential. The Tottenham talisman has managed two returns in his last three games and takes his sides penalties.
Another player tough to let go of is Bukayo Saka (£9.2m). Saka has been one of the best assets in the game recently – collecting a mammoth 47 points in his last four matches. Regardless of fixtures Saka could continue that run due to Arsenal’ relentless scoring form.
On the bench is Leon Bailey (£5.7m) who has been brilliant for Aston Villa recently. Gaining from the Aston Villa goals has become an issue with the ownership of Ollie Watkins. For that reason and the fixture in Gameweek 29, doubling up in attack could be rewarding.
Forwards
Leading the Luton attack and taking their penalties going into a nice Double Gameweek is Carlton Morris (£5.1m). Morris is underrated in terms of form – banking a huge eight returns in his last 10 matches. He also plays a great fixture in Gameweek 29.
Another player who could have massive potential this week is Dominic Solanke (£7.1m). Solanke isn’t just having the season of his life but he has also been a very good asset in the game. Most within the community will be looking to him for the captaincy armband this week.
Holding onto the best asset in the game long-term could be a must. Ollie Watkins (£8.9m) sits as the highest scoring player in the game due to his consistency this season. He also has a great fixture this week and in Gameweek 29.
