FPL Gameweek 26 Buy, Sell and Keep

FPL Gameweek 26 is here and its a blank for some sides. In this article we go through some of the most popular players to conclude whether they are a buy, sell or keep ahead of the new round. We will do this with the help of Fantasy Football Scout members area.

FPL Gameweek 26 sees Liverpool, Chelsea, Luton and Spurs all blank so it could be a difficult week to navigate. So, judging players with a buy, sell and keep status could help managers make those all-important transfer decisions.

Buy

Bukayo Saka (9.1m) – Arsenal are in rampant form offensively and come up against Newcastle next. The Magpies are conceding some awful defensive data and the in-form Saka has the potential to hit his fourth double-digit haul in five matches.

Wolves – Wolves face a very poor Sheffield United side up next. The Blades are a team to target, especially with offensive assets. One of the players we should consider is midfielder Hwang-Hee Chan (£5.5m) who leads his midfield teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement this season. Another great option is fellow midfielder Pedro Neto (£5.7m). Neto has managed two goals and nine assists already this campaign.

Aston Villa – The inconsistent Nottingham Forest lay ahead and Aston Villa have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 29. Because of this, as well as of course the essential Ollie Watkins (£8.7m), their midfield also has some interesting options. Managers could opt for Douglas Luiz (£5.5m) who has returned in 10 matches this season and takes his sides penalties. Another option to consider is Leon Bailey (£5.6m). Manchester City – Bournemouth continue to leak goals and so it could be a great opportunity to bring in Manchester City attackers for those that don’t or have a lack of. The obvious option is striker Erling Haaland (£14.4m) but midfielder Phil Foden (£8.1m) has also been one of their most in-form players.

Manchester United – The Reds are starting to gain momentum after four wins on the bounce. Their frontline is also very appealing recently. Striker Rasmus Hojlund (£7.2m) is their standout pick going into a game against Fulham. The Dane has racked up three double-digit hauls in his last five matches and returned in the remaining two games. Another great pick is budget midfielder Alejandro Garnacho (£5m). Garnacho has collected 23 points in his last three matches due to two goals and an assist.

Sell

Pervis Estupinan (£5m) – The fact Estupinan has started just two of the last three matches is a major concern for owners. Owners could look to move him on, potentially for a defender who starts in Blank Gameweek 29, if not then someone who will start regularly with good potential.

Cole Palmer (£5.8m) – As good as Palmer has been as an asset this season, he faces tough fixtures ahead. Not only does he blank this week but he also faces Arsenal and is likely to blank again in Gameweek 29. Midfielder slots are vital and Palmer is blocking one.

Liverpool – Liverpool are in fantastic form but they do not have a fixture this week, play Manchester City in Gameweek in Gameweek 28 and are likely to blank in Gameweek 29. They also have injuries to key players like defender Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.5m), midfielder Diogo Jota (£8.3m) and striker Darwin Nunez (£7.6m).

Keep

Gabriel (£5.2m) & William Saliba (£5.7m) – Arsenal may face Newcastle next up and are likely to blank in Gameweek 29 but they have one of the best defences in the league. Both centre-backs also have major attacking threat during set-plays.

Dominic Solanke (£6.9m) – Bournemouth have Manchester City ahead but they also have a double in Gameweek 28.

Luton – As frustrating as their assets were in their recent double we have to remember they faced both Liverpool and Manchester United. The Hatters blank this week but they also have a double in Gameweek 28. With that in mind keeping assets like defender Alfie Doughty (£4.6m) could be beneficial looking ahead.

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.8m) – De Bruyne did not feature in his last match for Manchester City. This was due to a ‘tight’ hamstring. There is a high likelihood that the Belgian starts this week so holding him could be rewarding.

Newcastle – Newcastle face a meeting with Arsenal next. They are also unlikely to play in Gameweek 29. That may be the case but selling their assets feels like a luxury move. This is due to the fact they actually have a game. For those on a Wildcard or Free Hit then taking them out is a good move.

Tottenham – Tottenham also blank this week. However, they have great fixtures after and have a match in Gameweek 29. If you can hold their assets then it could be hugely rewarding long-term.
