Copenhagen v Manchester City
Manchester City were heavy favourites going into their match against Copenhagen. The Champions didn’t disappoint as they dispatched their opposition in a 3-1 victory.
One of the biggest successes was Manchester City’ Phil Foden (€8.2m) who hit 11 points for his goal scored and assist created. Joining him amongst the returns was fellow midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (€10.5m). De Bruyne missed all six of his sides first six UCL matches but made a huge statement with his 13-point haul this week. His points came from a goal, assist and player of the match award.
The Copenhagen goal that midfielder Magnus Mattsson (€6m) scored helped him to an eight-point return but also meant that none of the Manchester City defenders picked up the clean sheet.
The most disappointing asset was Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (€11.7m). The Norwegian went into the game heavily captained but slumped to just two points.
Leipzig v Real Madrid
It was a tight fair between Leipzig and Real Madrid but the latter came out on top in a 1-0 win. The win meant that the Real Madrid defensive assets had a very successful day. Nacho (€5m) was amongst the returns (seven points), along with Dani Carvajal (€5.2m) who hit seven points. However, the most successful defensive asset was of course goalkeeper Andriy Lunin (€4.6m) who managed nine points with the help of nine shots saved.
Scoring the only goal of the game was midfielder Brahim Diaz (€6.5m). Diaz scored a brilliant goal which helped him to player of the match and 12 points in UCL Fantasy. He also picked up an injury which could rule him out of the second leg. But, even if that doesn’t rule him out the return from injury of Jude Bellingham will.
One player who many opted for was striker Vinicius Junior (€11.1m). The Brazilian picked up a yellow card which meant he ended the game with just one point.
PSG v Real Sociedad
UCL Fantasy Matchday 7 saw several big performances and that takes us to the game between PSG and Real Sociedad. The Spanish side impressed during the game but PSG overcame their opposition and won 2-0.
The PSG clean sheet meant returns for the likes of budget defender Lucas Beraldo (€4.5m) who hit eight points. Joining him was the heavily selected Achraf Hakimi (€6.1m). The Moroccan matched his teammate with the help of seven ball recoveries.
The standout UCL Fantasy performance came from the main man himself, striker Kylian Mbappe (€11.5m). Mbappe scored the first goal and claimed the player of the match award to give him nine points at the end of the game. He also rewarded a large part of the community who decided to captain him.
Forward Bradley Barcola (€6.1m) was another player on the scoresheet. He collected seven points due to a goal and three ball recoveries. Midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery (€5.4m) became a favourite budget player ahead of the round, he ended with just four points.
Lazio v Bayern
Bayern were massive favourites coming into UCL Fantasy Matchday 7 but their rough patch continued and they slumped to a 1-0 loss against Lazio. The loss meant that heavily owned players like striker Harry Kane (€10.1m) and midfielder Leroy Sane (€9.1m) blanked.
Lazio defensive success helped defenders Alessio Romagnoli (€4.5m) and Elseid Hysaj (€4.4m) to seven-point returns.
Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi (€5.4m) picked up one of the biggest returns. His six ball recoveries and player of the match award meant he finished with eight points.
The only goal of the game was scored by striker Ciro Immobile (€7.8m) who bagged six points.
Inter v Atletico
Inter came into a home game knowing it was going to be a tough meeting against Atletico. The Italian side squeezed a 1-0 win against their opposition which is a big advantage going into the second leg.
Scoring the only goal in the game was striker Marko Arnautović (€6.4m). He hit eight points, making him the joint highest scoring player of the match. He also claimed the player of the match award.
Joining Marko Arnautović with eight points was centre-backs Alessandro Bastoni (€5.4m) and Stefan de Vrij (€4.9m) with the help of a clean sheet and ball recoveries.
Popular striker Lautaro Martinez (€8.9m) created the goal with his assist to collect five points.
PSV v Dortmund
One of the tightest matches of UCL Fantasy Matchday 7 came between PSV and Dortmund who drew 1-1.
The highest scoring player in the tie was PSV midfielder Joey Veerman (€7m) who collected the player of the match award. Not far behind was teammate and popular striker Luuk de Jong (€8.4m) who scored the only goal.
Other returns came from Dortmund striker Donyell Malen (€7.3m) who hit six points for his goal, Dortmund midfielder Marcel Sabitzer (€5.5m) who bagged six points for his assist and PSV striker Malik Tillman (€6m) who managed five points for earning a penalty.
Napoli v Barcelona
UCL Fantasy Matchday 7 also saw an epic clash between titans Napoli and Barcelona of which the game ended 1-1.
The biggest returner was Barcelona Robert Lewandowski (€10.3m) who hit nine points after scoring and claiming the player of the match award.
Another heavy weight amongst the returns was Napoli forward Victor Osmihen (€9.8m) who scored. Joining Osimhen with six points was Napoli midfielder Frank Anguissa (€6.2m) who got the assist and Barcelona defender Jules Kounde (€5m) who racked up a huge 13 ball recoveries. The Barcelona goal was created by midfielder Pedri (€6.9m) who finished on five points.
Porto v Arsenal
Porto came into the match as huge underdogs against the English side. The home team impressed with their overall performance but it took a wonder goal to secure a 1-0 victory for the Portuguese side.
One of the most successful players in the entire round was Porto midfielder Galeno (€7m). Galeno bagged a huge 12 points for scoring and picking up the player of the match award. Joining him in double-digits was teammate and defender Otavio (€4m). He hit 10 points for creating the goal and recovering five balls.
Other decent returns came from Porto defenders Joao Mario (€4.5m) and Wendell (€4.4m) after their clean sheets.
