Gameweek 25 Best Free Hit Team
Using the Live FPL website we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 25:
Goalkeepers
Luton are average to poor defensively in terms of the underlying defensive data but they have two matches which makes them difficult to avoid. Between the sticks is Thomas Kaminski who has both clean sheet and save point potential for the round ahead.
Newcastle’ Martin Dubravka backs the Luton man up in goal. He will only feature in the unlikely event Kaminski does not.
Defenders
The Manchester City double Gameweek means taking a risk on one of their defenders could be hugely rewarding. They still maintain some of the best data in the league defensively and centre-back Nathan Ake has started all three of their last games.
A Luton double up in defence sounds absurd but both offer different routes to points. Wing-back Alfie Doughty has been fantastic recently – picking up a return in six of his seven last matches. He also maintains some of the best distribution stats amongst all defenders in the last six Gameweeks.
Liverpool face Brentford and Luton and statistically have one of the best defences in the league. The injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold makes siding with Virgil Van Dijk an easy move. The centre back has clean sheet potential but has also had more attempts in the box than any other defender this season.
Sitting on the bench is Brentford’ Sergio Reguilon and Arsenal’ Gabriel. Both are unlikely to feature but could have good potential if needed.
Midfielders
Son Heung Min may have returned for Tottenham but Richarlison still leads the frontline. The Brazilian has scored at least one in four of his last five matches. He also goes into a game against a Wolves side who have conceded at least two goals in all three of their last matches.
Liverpool face two poor recent defences so investing in them this week is essential. Diogo Jota is one of the Reds most in-form attackers after collecting at least one return in five of his last six matches.
Another in-form player with a great double Gameweek is Phil Foden. Foden has become one of Manchester City’ most reliable players for both goal contributions and gametime recently.
Arsenal may have just one match this week but they come up against one of the worst recent defences in the league, Burnley. The standout Arsenal attacker is of course is Bukayo Saka who netted a brace in his most recent match.
Another side with a brilliant single fixture is Brighton. The Seagulls face a poor Sheffield United backline this week and their most successful asset is Pascal Groß. The German has banked two consecutive double-digit hauls in his last two matches.
Forwards
Manchester City’ double Erling Haaland is an essential this week and the standout captaincy option. The Norwegian hit two goals in his first start after returning from injury.
Another striker that will be very tough to exclude is Darwin Nunez. Nunez has been sustaining some of the best attacking stats in the league recently and has also collected a return in five of his last six matches.
Luton rank as one of the best sides in the league for goals scored in the last six Gameweeks so combined with the double Gameweek their frontline could be worth investing in. Because of this Elijah Adebayo makes the cut. Adebayo is another player in form with six attacking returns in his last five matches.
