Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 25 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

Manchester City opened up the week of football with an early kick-off against Everton. It took some time for the champions to break their opposition down but the goals surely came. Amongst the goals was of course Erling Haaland who snatched a brace in the last 20 minutes of the match.
Many were concerned about Haaland’ performance prior to the brace. This was because FPL managers are targeting the double Gameweek ahead to give the Norwegian the triple captaincy armband.
Another interesting point to highlight from the same match was the fact Kevin De Bruyne didn’t start. The Belgian came on to secure four points for his assist. Many will be hoping he starts both of his matches in the next round but with Champions League ahead it could be unlikely.
@FlapjackFpl
Fantasy Football Scout contributor Flapjack humoured the fact that many within the community were pondering the use of the triple captain chip on Dominic Solanke for his double Gameweek ahead rather than Haaaland.
Bournemouth were surprisingly dismantled 3-1 by Fulham in Gameweek 24. Their main man Solanke struggled to get into the match but still finished with an assist. He faces Newcastle and Manchester City next up so it could be interesting to see if owners sell him and buy him back, bench him or even start him. Either way, Solanke could have the form and underlying data to maintain his good.
@FPLFella
Liverpool were the centre of managers attention this week as they came face to face with Burnley. The Reds struggled to convince in the first half but managed to get ahead and win the game 3-1.
Amongst the returns was Darwin Nunez who continues to both frustrate and excite. It took him some time but the striker got on the score sheet. He also picked up a yellow card and bonus. Nunez could be a popular buy this week with the double in the round ahead and with his current form and data, it could be hard to ignore him.
Another Liverpool asset who was a success for buyers this week was Diogo Jota. For many it was a 50/50 decision between Jota and Darwin but both scored last week ahead of an exciting double Gameweek.
@LetsTalk_FPL
Newcastle were also a massive talking point this week. The Magpies have been an entertaining watch recently because fans just don’t know what to expect. As stated by Andy their defensive form has been a major concern for FPL managers. However one player who continues to return without the clean sheet is Kieran Trippier. Trippier picked up a goal and an assist in Gameweek 23 and continued that form this week with another assist.
Another hot topic regarding Newcastle was the fact that Anthony Gordon started the match. The midfielder has been enduring an injury over the last several weeks and many didn’t think he would feature never mind start. Start he did but Gordon failed to pick up a return.
Newcastle have great fixtures long-term but with double Gameweeks coming up will managers stay loyal and keep their assets or ship them out?
@FPLReaction
FPL Reaction was one of many FPL managers who brought in Alfie Doughty this week. Luton have two double Gameweeks ahead so many like Louis felt that bringing the Luton assets in early could be beneficial, especially with a fixture against a poor Sheffield United first up. However, Sheffield United, to the surprise of many, beat Luton 3-1.
Luton may have lost the game and potentially put future investors off, but their assets showed some spark. Carlton Morris scored the only Luton goal whilst fellow striker Elijah Adebayo earned the assist points. Doughty also may have lost the clean sheet but he proved his distribution ability after creating nine key passes leading to shots.
